The El Moussas’ bags are getting heavier with their upcoming show.
Real estate power couple Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa first announced their HGTV docuseries “The Flipping El Moussas” in June. After months of hard work and curating the great content they produced together, the lovebirds are finally read to share their journey with fans.
‘The Flipping El Moussas’ Gets Premiere Date
The expectant mother took to her IG Story to tease the big announcement via a ten-second clip that showed her rocking a green sweater paired with sunglasses and a small strappy bag. While walking around, Heather said, “Okay, there’s an exciting announcement coming to my feed soon, so stay tuned” Seemingly happy with the information, she captioned it, “Announcement coming ????.”
Soon after, Tarek and Heather made a joint post with their children, Taylor and Brayden, which showed them standing in what appeared to be their unborn child’s nursery. The captioned post details the information his wife teased on his social media page. In the section, they wrote:
“Everyone get ready for the premiere of The Flipping El Moussas on Thursday, March 2nd at 8pm ET/PT on @hgtv (which will also be available to stream the same day on discovery+!!).”

The 41-year-old stated the content that fans can expect from the show and how it will come with its challenges and “some battles with the budget” However, they included that fans will be able to see some good parts such as “laughter, chaos, and the love that is in our family because we are also growing our family as well.” Heather and Tarek later mentioned:
“We are very proud to have co-produced The Flipping El Moussas with an amazing production team. We KNOW you will all love it and we are so excited for this adventure of a lifetime!!”
Finally, the couple excitedly quizzed followers on their expectations for the upcoming show, and as expected, fans came forward with their opinions. “So excited! Veteran stepmoms here-rooting for you to continue to promote the positive image of bonus moms. The world needs to see that stepmoms are truly amazing human beings!!!” excited fans comment.
Another fan wrote, “I’m so excited to see you guys work together! I love the chemistry between you two. You will grow old together.” A long-time follower and avid fan wrote, “Excited to see Heather’s design choices as she has a wealth of real estate experience. I would love to see lux on a budget!”
‘The Flipping El Moussas’ Has Been A Long Time Coming
The announcement of this premiere date comes months after the pair teased the show last year. In June, The Blast reported how they shared intimate moments in the series.
An excited Heather, who was newly married at the time, took to her Instagram to break the news of the show to her 2.8 followers, including four photos of her and her husband posing in different homes, writing,
“Excited to finally share some really exciting news! After many conversations, we finally realized one of our goals and are excited to announce our new series, The Flipping El Moussas, with HGTV coming in 2023!”

Many fans congratulated the couple on the feat; others let out flames and love emojis. Others called the show a “copycat” of the series Tarek and his ex-wife, Christina Hall, once had.
However, the show promises to be very different from the others as viewers will see Tarek and his wife handle some important moments in their lives. Also, some episodes will reportedly show fans a glimpse of their personal lives and how Heather will fit into her husband’s world.
Similarly, in November, the 35-year-old faced some problems while shooting for the show. As fans know, Heather was expecting her first child with Tarek, and while they announced the pregnancy in July, it didn’t stop her from working until she passed away from a short illness.
However, The Blast reported how he shared the news with his followers, saying he was back on set. The three-image update has been captioned:
“Don’t let this glam fool you, I’ve been sick since last Saturday and basically live in comfortable clothes 24/7. I’ve been so go, go, even today I’m back on set shooting which forced me out of my sweatpants for a while, but I really like to be busy… that’s me fighting but back to rest tomorrow!”
The actress also mentioned that “Tea and honey, Moisturizer, Soup & crackers, Coconut water, Lots of sleep, Water, Smoothies, Breathing with steam and eucalyptus” helped her feel better, then asked for “any more suggestions for pregnant moms. -be ” from his fans.
