Court releases chilling audio of Joran van der Sloot’s Natalee Holloway murder confession

Chilling new audio footage reveals Joran van der Sloot calmly explaining to police how he smashed Natalee Holloway’s head with a flint for rejecting her sexual urges on a tropical beach nearly two decades ago.

The 3 minute 45 second footage, released by federal prosecutors in Alabama as part of van der Sloot’s guilty plea in a related case, betrays the Dutch killer’s callous attitude to the gruesome 2005 murder.

“He told me he didn’t want me — to feel him,” van der Sloot calmly told investigators on October 3. “Eh, I insist. I keep feeling him either. And he, uh, kneed me, he ended up kneeing me in the crotch.

“When he kneed me in the crotch I got up on the beach and I kicked him – really hard – in the face,” he said. “Yes, he is lying unconscious, maybe even dead. And I saw right next to it there was a big stone block lying on the beach.

“I pounded his head with it completely. Yeah, his face basically, you know, collapsed in. Even though it’s dark I can see his face collapse.”

Van der Sloot’s measured and matter-of-fact tone makes the gruesome confession all the more shocking.

The 36-year-old killer said he was trying to take Holloway back to his hotel room in the hope “I might still get a chance to be with him” when they stopped and started kissing – until she pushed him away.

He claimed he took the woman’s body into the waves and released her into the sea — then went home and watched porn, according to Holloway’s family, who heard his full confession.

“How could he kill her, and then he comes home and checks the football scores, goes on a porn site, wakes up, takes a shower and goes to school,” Beth Holloway, Natalee’s mother, told NBC News.

Joran van der Sloot revealed how he brutally attacked 18-year-old Alabama Natalee Holloway on a beach in Aruba in 2005 after she rejected his sexual advances. AP Holloway disappeared during a senior trip to Aruba in May 2005 with high school classmates from Mountain Brook and was last seen leaving a bar with van der Sloot, according to reports.AP

Natalee Holloway’s younger sister, Kaitlyn, told The Post her father David and his ex-wife, Beth, actually heard van der Sloot’s confession in real time.

“I don’t know how my dad and Beth took it, hearing him and seeing him confess,” Kaitlyn said Thursday.

Kaitlyn heard the confession herself after yesterday’s court date and described it as “spinal-wrenching,” adding: “I just saw the man who destroyed my family and Natalee, but hearing it from him and hearing his voice was just traumatizing.”

Kaitlyn said that while believing the graphic details of how van der Sloot killed her sister, she did not believe his account of how he disposed of the body.

He added: “There’s no way she could have gone into knee-deep water so close to shore and Natalee’s body didn’t wash away. I believe he may be able to get help. He probably knows how to dispose of his body. I definitely have mixed beliefs about how he disposed of his body.”

Holloway, 18, was on a high school trip to the resort island in May 2005 when she met van der Sloot at a local bar. He was last seen leaving with her.

Van der Sloot was the prime suspect in the high-profile murder but was not previously charged due to a lack of evidence.

He was also not charged with his murder because the statute of limitations on Aruba is 12 years.

US prosecutors eventually charged him with extorting money from Holloway’s family to reveal where his body was dumped — which proved to be a ruse.

Van der Sloot fled to Peru, where he killed Stephany Flores, a co-editor who also rejected advances in 2010. He is serving a 28-year prison sentence for the crime.

Peruvian authorities agreed to extradite him to the US to face extortion charges. Van der Sloot was sentenced to 20 years in the Alabama case.

“You have brutally murdered, in separate incidents, years apart, two young women who resisted your sexual desire,” Judge Anna Manasco told van der Sloot at his sentencing this week.

Manasco called the allegations of extortion and fraud “heinous” because the killer knew the information he was selling was a lie for profit.

In his own words, recorded in an October 3 interview, van der Sloot revealed how he killed Holloway. Van der Sloot said after he pushed Holloway’s body into the water, he walked home, according to court documents.

However, as part of the deal, he said federal prosecutors had agreed not to use his confession against him for any other purpose.

The self-confessed killer told authorities he was now a changed man and had been reborn – a claim the slain teenager’s family scoffed at.

“He really apologized and he said something with the words that he gave himself to God and that he was a Christian — that he was a changed person. I really don’t think that’s true,” Holloway’s younger sister, Kaitlyn, said this week.

“I don’t think it’s a sincere apology given all the damage he’s done,” he said. “I thought it was some BS.”

“After 18 years, Natalee’s case is solved,” Holloway’s mother told reporters outside court shortly after the hearing. “Joran van der Sloot is a murderer.” AP

Beth Holloway, who lashed out at van der Sloot in court on Wednesday, uttered parting words as she left the Birmingham courthouse.

“After 18 years, Natalee’s case is solved,” Holloway’s mother told reporters outside court after the hearing. “Joran van der Sloot is a murderer.”
