Police are hunting a would-be kidnapper who terrorized the University of Arizona and sexually assaulted at least one of the students he tried to kidnap.
The creep – dubbed the Tucson Taker by students – targeted three different students at separate locations near the city’s campus in just one week, according to the University of Arizona Police Department.
Each time, the attacker was stopped before he managed to drag them into his unique purple car.
The suspect last attacked around 6pm on Monday when his female victim was walking near the south side of the campus.
He held her waist with one hand and used his other hand to grope her. He ran away after he screamed, the school said.
Police realized they were dealing with a repeat offender after matching the suspect’s description with a similar attacker who targeted another female student just four days earlier.
The female student was walking after 8pm when she noticed she was being followed by a dented purple hatchback with tinted windows.

The stranger jumped out of the car and grabbed the woman, who was able to fend off her attacker by falling to the ground and screaming. He ran back to his car and drove away.
After hearing the news about two previous attacks, the first victim came forward to report being followed by the car at around 11 am on Dec 6, but fortunately he was not attacked.
The suspect is still at large, and his identity remains a mystery, police said.
Tucson Police Assistant Chief Chris Dennison warned that the assailant was driving a purple hatchback with tinted windows. 13 News
He is described as a possibly dark-skinned Hispanic male with a medium to heavy build. He stands between 5-feet-10-inches and 6-feet tall, and has short, buzzed hair.
The attempted abductor may have been half-life, but police “are not completely sure of the description we have,” Tucson Assistant Police Chief Chris Dennison said at a news conference.
Students have been calling the mysterious creature the Tucson Taker on social media.
