A viral video has shown the moment a cruise ship began to flood, with one guest describing it as “very scary.”
Amber, who lives on the seventh floor of the Carnival Radiance, shared a TikTok clip of water gushing from the ceiling in the hallway outside her cabin, which has been viewed more than 7 million times.
He said it happened on the first night of his cruise this month from Long Beach, California.
In the caption of the second video, Amber explained that at around 2am she was “woke up to water pouring into our room from the ceiling” – describing the ordeal as “very scary.”

The clip shows his dark and wet cabin reportedly without power and workers trying to clear water in the hallway.
Carnival Cruise Line told news.com.au that the flooding was caused by a “ruptured water line” affecting “an area of the ship that accounts for less than two percent of its cabins.”
“Members of the ship’s team cleared the area and the pipes were repaired,” the spokesman said.

The video was enough to scare social media users, who immediately made references to the Titanic.

“How I thought this was a literal museum of the Titanic experience or something at first,” wrote one.
“I see I’m going straight to the main deck, wearing a life jacket just in case. I will not be trapped behind one of their gates,” said another.
“I saw this and I was on the first safety boat out there,” added a third.
One keen cruise-goer said: “I’ve been on a few Carnival cruises and never had a problem but if I see that much water I really freak out.”
“OH GOD. Another fear why I won’t go on a cruise,” said another.
“Definitely my biggest fear,” another agreed.
Carnival Radiance, formerly Carnival Victory, was launched in 2000 and underwent a $200 million refit and refit in 2020.
Last year, plumbing issues also caused the floor at Carnival Vista to flood.

The sheer volume of water, according to a guest who shared the footage on TikTok, caused the cabin door to open and a river to flow into the hallway.
According to the traveler, the ordeal took place on the sixth floor before leaking to the fifth floor.
