Actress Danielle Fishel admitted to fans that she is in love with her “Boy Meets World” co-star Rider Strong after 30 years. The star who played Topanga in the 1993 sitcom admitted to a longtime crush on the star who played Shawn, Cory’s best friend.
The actor revealed the secret during an episode of the “Pod Meets World” podcast. When asked by a fan if she liked any of her co-stars, she was quick to express her feelings for the actor at the time. Strong was shocked by the revelation.

Strong was shocked to discover that he was Fishel’s dream boy at the time. The actor confessed on the podcast (per Page Six), “I have a crush on Rider,” to which Strong replies, “Whaaat?!” He also felt sad because he only found out after so long. He said, “That’s not true; you never told me that!”
He was also surprised that the “Girl Meets World” star could keep the secret for so long. He said, “You kept it for 30 years?!” and asked him to tell more about the crush. Fishel later revealed that the crush started in the first season and continued “through Season 2.”
When asked why she explained that she saw him as the perfect boy, she said, “He’s so smart, and, you know what? One of my favorite things about Rider — and it still is to this day.”

He also says that he likes that she is very loud. “Riders are very effusive,” he said. “He’ll tell you how he feels.” He also revealed that the actor is well-spoken, saying, “He’s very liberal with his praise, but he doesn’t throw it around at will.”

He Loves His Praise

Strong’s praise played a big part in Fishel’s love for him at the time. He remembered how much he loved them and how sweet they were. He said, “When Rider compliments you, it’s thoughtful, it has meaning — it comes from a very real place.”
The 41-year-old then recalled a time when he was showered with particular praise from the star while they were acting. He said, “I remember getting a very real compliment from Rider, like: ‘You my friend are doing an amazing job.'”
The “Boiling Pot” actress also revealed to fans that she keeps a diary where she writes about her love for Fishel. He said, “I found a diary that I wrote for three months when we were on ‘Boy Meets World.'”

Looking back on that time, Fishel said she felt very embarrassed by her crush and her diary entry. He said, “It’s a shame because I’m about to end the diary [entries] with like ‘PS I love…'” The actress also revealed that she has other loves that she writes about in her diary. She also added that “there are like four people that I love. And Rider is one of them!”
Strong was excited to be a part of the people he was writing about at the time. In response, he yelled, “I made a list at some point?!”
While fans were excited to hear about the crush, they weren’t surprised because they had previously shipped stars. Their characters, Topanga and Shawn, once shared a sweet kiss in the sixth season of their ’90s show.

In the episode, Shawn and Topanga share a passionate kiss while filming a commercial. Although fans wish they could be together in real life, the two celebrities are not and are now happily married to different partners.

The former “Boy Meets World” star is now married to their partner with whom they have children. Strong announced his marriage to the love of his life Alexandra Barreto in 2013. They welcomed their beautiful son Indigo a year later, in 2014.
Instead, Fishel married producer Jensen Karp five years later in 2018. They also welcomed their first child a year later, in 2019. The two stars and Will Friedle, a cast member from the show, are co-hosts of ” Boy Meets World ” influence podcast, which they started in June 2022.
