Struggling actor Danny Masterson’s problems continue to pile up as it has been revealed that he has been kicked out of the Church of Scientology and labeled an “oppressive person” by the organisation.
He faces up to 30 years in prison on two counts of rape. His wife, Bijou Phillips, has also filed for divorce, with Masterson recently relinquishing custody of their daughter.

The 66-year-old claimed that the church had no plans to make Masterson’s “oppressive person” status public and still told members that the actor was innocent.
Augustine said, “According to my source, Danny has been declared an oppressor, which means he will be expelled from Scientology. They told Scientologists that he would file an appeal and that he was innocent of the charges he had been convicted of.”
“They (church officials) declared Danny an oppressor for not maintaining high ethical standards for the Church of Scientology, and other reasons – but not because he was convicted of rape,” he added.

According to the news outlet, Augustine opened up about the new development at a demonstration held in front of the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Center in Hollywood on Saturday, where several former Scientologists and alleged victims of sexual abuse condemned the “cult’s” injustice.
One of Masterson’s alleged victims, Chrissie Carnell Bixler, whose case against the actor was met with a deadlocked jury, attended Saturday’s protest with another of her accusers.
When talking about Masterson’s status as an “oppressive person,” Bixler told Daily Mail“They should have declared him SP when I first went to them.”

Augustine revealed that the criminal trial and the scandalous accusations against him caused many Scientologists to question why he was still allowed to be part of the church.
“Many Scientologists complain that they have friends and family members they cannot talk to because they are declared oppressive. They question why Danny Masterson is allowed to be a Scientologist in good standing when he brought a terrible public relations situation into the church with his felony rape conviction. ,” Augustine said.

“I think Miscavige is clearing the deck ahead of IAS [International Association of Scientologists] in London so he was not asked about Masterson. In other words, he wants it handled. He didn’t want Danny Masterson to be in the spotlight,” said the private investigator.
Augustine added, “They will not make a public announcement. They’re going to tell everyone at this big, fancy London event don’t talk about it, don’t mention Danny. He has now become a man who cannot be named.”
According to the former Scientologist, church officials “still maintain his innocence, saying he will plead and that is not why he was declared, but this cannot be discussed by anyone.”
As reported by Explosion, Masteron recently relinquished custody of her 9-year-old daughter with Phillips following her surprise divorce filing. However, he requested visitation rights, but that is up to the California State Penitentiary to decide.
