Former stepfather Danny Masterson claims his children lied about their relationship with the “That ’70s Show” star in an effort to help their older sister when she was sentenced to 30 years in prison for two counts of rape.
Joe Reaiche said he was shocked when he read his children Alanna and Jordan Masterson’s letter to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo asking for leniency for their actor brother – in which they described him as the man who practically raised them when their father allegedly walked out. on them.
“They’re making it sound like I’m out and leaving them, and Danny is a hero,” Reaiche told the Daily Beast in an article published Sunday. “They actually make money, and I give them money.”
Reaiche, a former star rugby player and scientist who met Carol Masterson in 1982, disputes his children’s claims that he abandoned them when they were just 6 and 4 years old, noting that his wife did not file for divorce until 1995, meaning Jordan was nine, not six, when they split up.
Despite the divorce, Reaiche said she remained close to her children over the years, as well as her stepsons, Danny and Christopher Masterson.
“I paid for their summer school at an expensive Scientology school in Oregon, Delphi. That was $5,000 each. And I took them everywhere,” Reaiche claimed, estimating that she spent nearly $300,000 on her two children between 1995 and 2005.

Reaiche told the outlet she was also instrumental in helping her children’s acting careers, as they followed in Masterson’s footsteps after he landed a role on the hit Fox sitcom in 1998.
Alanna will continue on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and Jordan on the sitcom “Last Man Standing.”
During Masterson’s height of fame on “That ’70s Show,” Reaiche claimed he helped his stepson get a mortgage on his Hollywood home — the home where the actor would be accused of raping his victim in 2003.
By 2005, the family had completely split following Reaiche’s expulsion from the Church of Scientology, he told the Daily Beast.

After he was fired from the church, the heartbroken father said he was unable to speak to his children, who were told he was considered “oppressive people” who they should not have a relationship with – and he has not heard from them since.
At the time, Jordan was 19 and Alanna was 17, a far cry from the little children they described themselves as in their letters to the judge.
“If they say our parents divorced when we were 9 and 7, that’s one thing. But they said I left like I left them,” he told the Daily Beast. “It’s bull–t. They swear to themselves.”

In addition to praising Masterson as their father figure, Jordan and Alanna also described him as a well-known anti-drug activist.
Masterson, 47, allegedly drugged his two victims to rape them.
The sisters’ vouching for Masterson was echoed by fellow “That ’70s Show” cast members Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith, who all hailed their co-star as a “positive influence.”
All of the letters were written with the knowledge that Masterson – who was charged with aggravated rape – would receive between 15 and 30 years in prison.
The Church of Scientology did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
