David Crosby A Famous Singer Passed Away At The Age Of 81

David Crosby, a famous singer, guitarist, and composer, died on Wednesday, January 18, at the age of 81. Crosby is best known as a founding member of the rock groups ‘Byrds’ and ‘Crosby, Stills, and Nash.’

Graham Nash, a musician, paid tribute to him on Facebook, writing:

“In life and music, David is a brave man. He leaves a huge void in terms of personality and pure skill on our planet. Through his beautiful music, he expressed his ideas, heart and passion, and he left an unforgettable legacy. This is the most important consideration. My heart goes out to his wife, Jan, his son, Django, and everyone he touched in this life.”

Randy Bachman, a guitarist and vocalist, also paid tribute to Crosby on Facebook, writing:

“David Crosby, rest in peace. When BTO was a “bar band,” I sang so many of his songs. I believe he is a great composer and am amazed how he overcomes difficulties and continues to make music. He will be missed by millions, including his loved ones.”

The cause of David’s death has not been disclosed, and there are currently no plans for a memorial service.

David Crosby has struggled with health concerns in recent years.

David had to undergo a liver transplant in 1994 because he had hepatitis C. He was eventually diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, which negatively affected his weight. Viewers noticed her weight loss, caused by the disease, during a show in 2008. To keep her diabetes under control, she had to use insulin. In February 2014, Crosby had to undergo cardiac catheterization and angiography. The doctors advised David to rest before returning to the stage for his performance. He ended up having to cancel his shows at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and the Troubadour in Los Angeles, California.

David Crosby joined The Byrds in 1964 and worked on five albums with them. In 1968, he formed the rock band Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Stephen Stills, Graham Nash, and Neil Young were also members of CSN. Their first self-titled album was released in 1969 and peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 in the United States. They went on to create seven more albums and win fame for their hits until 1999.

David launched his solo career in 1971 with the release of his debut album If I Could Only Remember My Name. He formed another band, CPR, which was active from 1996 to 2004, releasing four albums until 2001.
