David Henrie, Selena Gomez and Jake T. Austin are the stars of Disney Channel’s hit television show, “Wizards of Waverly Place.” The show follows the Russo family, who may seem like a normal family with a normal restaurant, but behind closed doors, the three children all have magical powers and are training to compete to become the next family witch.
The series ran for four seasons, premiering in October 2007 — marking its 15th anniversary. David Henrie took to social media to post a touching tribute to his “Wizard” family.

David Henrie, who plays Justin Russo on the Disney Channel show, remembers his time on “Wizards of Waverly Place” 15 years later.
“I can’t believe it’s been 15 years!!! What a special and important time in my life,” Henrie wrote on Instagram. “So thankful and blessed for all the memories, friends, and people who make young kids’ dreams come true. Thank you to all the fans of the show for all the support over the years. What I love about the show is that it’s a constant reminder that family can be messy, but family will always be there for you..”
He went on to tag “Wizards” co-stars Selena Gomez (Alex Russo), Jake T. Austin (Max Russo), Jennifer Stone (Harper Finkle), David Deluise (Jerry Russo), Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa Russo), the show’s creator , Todd J. Greenwald, and producer and writer Peter Murrieta.
Henrie also tagged the official Disney and Disney+ Instagram accounts.

Henrie posted a video of herself to Instagram saying “Hmm..” and then panned the camera to show Selena Gomez who also just said “Hmm”. It left fans with so many questions — including co-star Gregg Sulkin, who commented “Hmmmm” to which Henrie responded with “hmm yeah Gregg. Hmmm yeah.”
And in 2019, Henrie spoke to ET, saying that he and Gomez talk about a reboot “all the time.”
“We have an overall view. We have everything,” said Henrie. “We want to start the show like a few years later; start them in the worst place so that throughout the series you give them a nice, beautiful reunion arch. Start them falling apart.”
As for where the characters will be in the reboot, Henrie shared, “Alex is a fashionista, killing it in some other part of the universe. Justin, like, the principal who has a family now, WizTech. Max has that little shop, but it’s already broken … We all start out unclear and then throughout the series, you bring us all together.”

Unfortunately, at this time, there is no word on whether the “Wizards of Waverly Place” reboot is actually happening or not, but the original series is currently streaming on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+, along with the movie, “Wizards Of Waverly Place : The Movie .”
