David Schwimmer Breaks Silence First Time In A Month, Nothing On Matthew Perry

David Schwimmer has posted on social media for the first time in a month, however, it’s not about Matthew Perry.

The ‘Friends’ star, best known for his role as Ross Gellar, attended Perry’s funeral six days after 54-year-old actor Chandler Bing was found unresponsive in his hot tub. Other ‘Friends’ stars, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow, were also seen at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.

David Schwimmer has not posted to Instagram since October 11, which was a post about the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. She posted about two and a half weeks before police found ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry unresponsive in his hot tub at his home.

Now, for the first time in four weeks, Schwimmer has posted to his Instagram Story, but it’s not about Matthew Perry, and instead, it’s about addressing the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.

“One month ago today over 1,400 men, women and children were massacred by Hamas in their homes, on the streets, and at Music Festivals,” Schwimmer wrote in orange font on his Story. “More than 240 people including babies and the elderly still held hostage,” he added.

As previously noted, this isn’t the first time Schwimmer has spoken out about war, as his last Instagram post on October 11 stated, “Saturday was the most Jewish massacre of one day since the Holocaust.”

“The rape, torture, kidnapping and killing of so many Israeli civilians – including children, the elderly and infants – is an atrocity.”

Although Schwimmer has yet to address Matthew Perry’s death individually, he did release a joint statement with the other ‘Friends’ stars days after Perry’s death. He was also seen in public two days after Perry’s death, when he stepped out of his Manhattan home wearing a baseball cap and a medical mask that covered most of his face.

As we reported, police responded to a 911 call on October 28 to assist with a possible ‘water rescue’ at Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades home. When first responders arrived, they reportedly found the 54-year-old “Friends” actress in her hot tub, unresponsive.

Perry is believed to have drowned, but an autopsy and toxicology report will answer more questions about the exact cause of her death.

Although none of the ‘Friends’ actors spoke individually, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer released a joint statement following Perry’s death.

“In time we will say more, when we are able,” the statement from the “Friend” continued. “At this time, our thoughts and love are with Matty’s family, his friends and everyone who loved him around the world.”
