A wild shooting at a Bronx subway station that left one bystander dead and five others wounded was the result of a clash between rival gangs, police said Tuesday – as police released photos of two suspected gunmen who remain at large.
Surveillance photos show a suspected gangster in a ski mask fleeing the scene wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and white and red Air Jordan shoes.

The second suspect was wearing a black Northface jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask pulled over his mouth, dark pants, and black and yellow Air Jordan shoes, police said.
“This was a random shooting that happened on the number 4 train between two rival gangs,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told reporters during a briefing on the shooting Monday afternoon.
“When a group gets together on a train, there’s a verbal argument that quickly leads to a physical fight,” Kenny said. “As the train entered the station at Mount Eden, a round was fired inside the train.
“If you can imagine the scene of chaos,” he said. “You have a crowded train entering a crowded platform, a shot is fired. Now everyone is scrambling to get off the platform.”

The teenage suspect is also being investigated in a separate shooting in the Bronx last month, law enforcement sources said.
One slug in Monday’s shooting hit a 35-year-old bystander in the chest, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Kenny said.
In addition to the suspected gunman, also injured were a 14-year-old girl, a 29-year-old woman, and two men, ages 71 and 28, who were listed in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries in the area. hospital.
