Dee MC was born Deepa Unnikrishnan on Monday, February 14, 1994 (age 28 years; in 2022) in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Aquarius. He went to Lok Kalyan Public School in Kalyan, Maharashtra, where he participated in poetry writing, elocution and debate competitions.
At the age of 5, he started learning Bharatanatyam. He started listening to hip-hop when he was in sixth standard. His parents wanted him to pursue a chartered accountancy and get a decent job. In an interview, he revealed that he took the CA entrance test twice; however, he did not qualify for the test. In an interview, he spoke about his failure in the CA exam and said,
I told them the institute (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) is deliberately failing students for some marks. It is very sad. I failed for two and three marks. My parents don’t want to understand that it can’t be my fault all the time.”

At the age of 18, he wrote his first song when he was in his first year of college. In 2011, she uploaded a cover video of a Nicki Minaj song; someone replied to him after watching his cover video and advised him that if he is serious about rapping, he should get out of Kalyan and connect with the hip-hop scene in Mumbai.

He debuted with the song “Talk My Way” on October 30, 2013, which was the first video released on his YouTube channel.
