Controversy
Deepika Singh Rajawat was removed by the Kathua rape victim’s family as their lawyer in November 2018. She could not attend the court proceedings in Pathankot due to security reasons. The victim’s family went to the Court of Sessions Judge Pathankot and submitted that the prosecution case will be further handled by SS Basra, special public prosecutor, and Jagdishwar Kumar Chopra, District Attorney. They will be assisted by KK Puri, Harbhajan Singh, Mubeen Farooky and other supporters. He also faced criticism for taking advantage of the Case; as image modification.

- In April 2018, Deepika appeared in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court on behalf of an 8-year-old girl Asifa Bano, who was gang-raped and later murdered in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kathua district in January 2018.
