In 1997, she married Jeet Upendra, and after ten years of their marriage, the couple divorced in 2007. Deepshikha has two children with him; a daughter, Vidhika Upendra and a son, Vivaan Upendra.
In 2012, she married actor and model, Keshav Arora. Their relationship only lasted for four years, and in 2016, Deepshikha and Keshav divorced.
About her divorce with Keshav, she said in an interview,
He cheated on me. I want him out. I don’t want to be with a man who is not responsible for his family.” I saw some messages on his cell phone, which were clear enough to say that he had an extramarital affair. Don’t be surprised if he is already looking for a new bakra. He is a sick, psycho, manipulative. He also has a rough personality; I cannot accept it.”
Career
He started his career as an actor in the Bollywood film, ‘Betaaj Badshah’ (1994). She played the role of ‘Neelam Pari’ in the Doordarshan TV series ‘Dastaan E Hatimtai’ (1996). She came into limelight with the popular TV series, ‘Shaktimaan’ (1997), in which she played the dual roles of Paroma and Sheraali.
She gained immense popularity with her role of ‘Bindya’ in the famous Bollywood film ‘Koyla’ in 1997.
He has acted in many Bollywood films, such as ‘Baadshah’ (1999), ‘Agniputra’ (2000), ‘Partner’ (2007), and ‘Bhram: An Illusion’ (2008).
She has appeared in various TV series, including ‘Karishma – The Miracles of Destiny’ (2003), ‘Son Pari’ (2000), ‘Baa Bahoo Aur Baby’ (2005), ‘Baal Veer’ (2013), and ‘Main Bhi Ardhangini’ (2019).
In 2013, she participated in the TV dance reality show, ‘Nach Baliye 5,’ along with her ex-husband, Keshav Arora.
In 2014, he appeared as a contestant in the popular TV reality show, ‘Bigg Boss 8.’ Although, the title was won by TV actor, Gautam Gulati, Deepshikha is one of the strongest contestants of Bigg Boss 8.
Controversy
In 2016, she filed an FIR against her ex-husband, Keshav Arora, in which she stated that Keshav had physically abused her. In an interview, he said,
Yes it is true. We tried our best to stay together but things just didn’t work out between us. We don’t live together. I don’t want to go into detail about what happened. There is no market for your sadness in this world so don’t ever advertise it. All I can say is that I have no complaints jisko jiske saath rehna hai reh sakta hai agar main kuch bolungi toh logon ko bura lag jaayega so I don’t want to comment.”
