Deepti Asthana is an Indian Independent documentary photographer, national geographic explorer, storyteller and filmmaker. In his works, he mainly describes environmental and gender issues in traditional societies in India.
Early Life
Deepti is a self-taught photographer based in Mumbai, India. He previously worked in IT companies in Delhi, Mumbai and the United Kingdom before switching his career to photography. Her works focus on telling the stories of Indian women who have been overshadowed for too long and always strive to create a narrative where the color tone fits the story.
Career
He has explored remote parts of India and his photographs are nothing short of revelatory every time. Her personal project – Women of India, is a powerful expression of untold stories of women across the country and one of her best works to date. In 2020, Deepti was awarded by World Press Photo under their Global Talent 6*6 program.
