Investigators say Simon suddenly exited Interstate 395 North and struck two other cars in DC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood before smashing through a barrier, sustaining minor injuries in the process.

Capitol Police said there was no indication the crash was intentional or related to terrorism.

Simon was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
