Demi Lovato is more than happy with her boyfriend of over a year, Jordan Lutes, aka Jutes, and can’t wait to take their relationship to the next level.
News of the couple’s romance broke in August 2022, and since then they’ve been seen on and off social media flaunting their love so cutely.
Recently, Lovato couldn’t help but dwell on her burgeoning love affair, crediting him for curing her “daddy problem” while hinting at her desire to be in a relationship with her beau.

Speaking on a new episode of SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” that aired Monday, September 11, the “Heart Attack” singer opened up about her “healthy” relationship and how it gave her a different perspective on her past affairs.

She initially touched on her “dating an older guy phase,” saying, “I think what I went through was I had a dating older guy phase and dated older guys because of my dad issues, obviously. Now I was in a place where I was in an amazing relationship.
Continued the 31-year-old man. “My boyfriend is a year older than me, and we grew up together, and it feels very healthy.” Lovato confidently added that her “daddy issues” aren’t a part of her anymore, which she believes may be due to having a partner not too older than her.
He also reflected on that time in his past, saying, “I look back on the past [of dating older men] and thought, ‘That’s rude.’” In the middle of the “Sorry Not Sorry” star’s convo with the show’s host Howard Stern, she recalled how she met Jutes, whom she was drawn to at first sight. He shared:
“We actually met in the studio, and um, so he’s an artist, but he’s also a songwriter, so he came to write at one of my sessions, and I was in the studio and was kind of drawn to him.”
Speaking more about the 32-year-old songwriter, Lovato said he has “the best personality,” and their relationship is filled with laughter. He also excitedly announced his intention to marry her, adding, “He hasn’t popped the question yet, no, but we’ve talked about it.”
According to Lovato, the couple who started out as friends spend their time together “a little bit,” because she feels the need to. As for the current state of her romance with the singer, the “Sonny with a Chance” actress believes Jutes is “the one” for her, and she wouldn’t mind having a child with him.
As fans know, the couple’s “amazing” romance all started with a strong “foundation of friendship,” which Lovato revealed on a recent episode of “The LadyGang” podcast.
She first recounted her initial meeting with Jutes in the studio when she was very nervous around him because of his attraction, but she was just “so focused” on the music. They ended up being friends for “a few months” before admitting their feelings. The friendship phase means a lot to the “Convinced” musician who believes it’s important before dating.
She opines, “I think when you can build that friendship with someone, that trust is there, like, you don’t always get when you start dating someone.”

The Canadian star then took to the caption with congratulations, calling Lovato “the most beautiful and talented person” he feels blessed to be with.
