Derek and Hayley took to social media to announce the news, as the “Dancing With the Stars” judge said, “We were going to perform for the finale tomorrow on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ but during the camera blocking a moment ago, we , unfortunately, it was injury and we have to withdraw.”

Hough continued, “But we’re really excited to show you all [the performance]. We work hard for that.”

“It looks beautiful, but we just have to prioritize its health,” he said. “Hayley here injured her shoulder and we tried to dance through it but unfortunately it’s one of those things where it’s like you can’t dance because you don’t play around with a shoulder injury basically.”

Fans wish Hayley a speedy recovery. “Honey, I’m looking forward to your performance. Hope haleys shoulder gets better,” one TikTok user commented while another said, “I always love your choreography and watching you two dance. Rest, I can’t wait to see you next time!

The finals will feature two rounds — a redemption round and a freestyle round. The redemption round will consist of a dance style performed by the couple earlier in the season, chosen by the judges.

First, head judge Len Goodman, who announced his retirement from the show last week, chose Wayne Brady and Witney Carson’s redemption lap dance. They will be doing the Quickstep to “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher” by Jackie Wilson.

Next, Carrie Ann Inaba chose Jive for Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas’ redemption dance. The two will perform to “Grown” by Little Mix.

Judge Bruno Tonioli was charged to Shangela and Gleb Savchenko, and chose Quickstep for their redemption. They will dance to “Queen Bee” by Rochelle Diamante.

Lastly, Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy’s redemption dance was chosen by Derek Hough. The two will dance the Cha Cha to “I Like It (Like That)” by Pete Rodriguez.
