Lisa Marie Presley visited her late father, Elvis Presley, and son, Benjamin Keough, days before his tragic death.
The night before Elvis’ 88th birthday on January 8th, LMP toured Graceland in Memphis, TN.

According to reports, Lisa Marie took her friend David Kessler to visit the farm’s Meditation Garden where Elvis and Benjamin, along with other relatives, are buried.
“We sat there mostly in silence by Ben’s grave. He showed me where he would be buried one day, right across from his father’s grave,” his friend told PEOPLE.
Kessler is the grief specialist Lisa Marie befriends after her son commits suicide in 2020.
Benjamin was 27 years old at the time of his death, and it absolutely devastated the LMP world.

“I said, ‘Not for a long time,’ and he was like, ‘No, I still have a lot to do.’ He was so excited about what was going to happen,” Kessler recalled of their trip. “He had a challenging first and second act in life, and he’s going to do this third act that really helps people.”
Unfortunately, just five days after their Graceland visit, Lisa Marie suffered a heart attack and passed away.
She was at her home with her maid and ex-husband and Benjamin’s father, Danny Keough, when she suffered a heart attack.
Keough performed CPR on him until paramedics arrived. They continued CPR and administered epinephrine. Once they got a pulse, they took him to West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.

In the days leading up to Lisa Marie’s untimely death, she attended the Golden Globes where she looked a little unsteady on her feet.
However, he did several interviews with his mother, Priscilla Presley, and Austin Butler.
Butler famously portrayed Elvis in the Baz Luhrmann film “Elvis.”
He took home a Golden Globe for his portrayal of “The King of Rock and Roll.”
During his acceptance speech, Butler thanked Priscilla, Lisa Marie and Elvis.

“Thank you for opening your heart, your memories, your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever,” Butler said.
At this point in the speech, Lisa Marie crossed her arms, placed them over her heart and patted her chest.
Butler ended his GG speech by thanking Lisa Marie’s father.

“Finally, Elvis Presley himself. You are an icon and a rebel and I love you so much,” he said.
Elvis died of a heart attack in 1977. He had a long history of abusing prescription barbiturates.
Lisa Marie’s cause of death has been deferred by the Los Angeles County Coroner.
“Presley was examined on January 14 and the cause of death was deferred. Deferred means that after an autopsy, the cause of death has not been determined and the medical examiner is requesting more investigation into the death, including additional studies. Once the tests/study come back, the doctor reevaluates the case and makes a cause of death determination,” said Sarah Ardalani, spokeswoman for the LA County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Department.
