Dhayriya Karwa was born on Monday, 19 November 1990 (age 31 years; in 2021) in Jaipur, Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Libra. He attended Welham Boys School, Dehradun, and went to Delhi to pursue his B.Com. Hons from Sri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. He was good at sports in his school and college days and actively played basketball. After completing her studies, Dhairya moved to Mumbai to pursue her MBA. - During an interview, while talking about his character ‘Ravi Shastri’ in Kabir Khan’s biographical sports film “83” (2021), Dhairya said,
I really want to meet him (Ravi Shastri), because I keep hearing amazing stories about him. He has been a part of my cricket experience in the 90s and early 2000s so when I got the part I thought I would read everything about Ravi sir. I have watched all his interviews and videos to correct his boyish language. I have also been playing cricket for 5 months now, and the focus is on picking up the style. It was challenging because I was a natural right-armer, and he was a left-arm bowler. I am also working on my diction and speaking style.”
He added,
It is a great responsibility and privilege. He is everywhere in the game across generations in different roles. So, I have big shoes to fill, but I don’t feel pressured. I auditioned and was selected for the part. I went through a mock interview where I talked about my career as Ravi – Ravi Shastri, in his style. I was asked my opinion about him and I was also tested on my cricket skills. So, even if I pass the litmus test, I feel a great responsibility to play it.”
