Kenya Moore has admitted her knowledge of Kandi Burruss’ exit from “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
In a media chat, the reality television star opened up about being aware of Burruss’ decision to leave the show before the businessman surprisingly announced it on the Grammys red carpet.
The mother-of-one’s public confession comes shortly after insiders revealed former housewife Porsha Williams’ claims for a comeback.

Although she has been tight-lipped about her peach status since filming for the 15th season of “RHOA” wrapped over a year ago. Moore opened up about the dish on his friend, Burruss. He used the opportunity of a recent interview to reveal:
“We had a conversation like, ‘OK, if you get a phone call let me know…’ We communicated about all of that, and as soon as he told me that he had decided not to come back, I was like, ‘Are you sure? Really think about this. Are you sure?’ “You know, you’ve been there for 14 years straight…’”
After praising the singer-songwriter for being “so loved and so respected,” the beauty queen added, “I think once she made her decision, she was obviously happy with it.”
Moore later admitted that he ultimately chose to support his friend, telling ET, “If that’s what you want, and that’s where your heart leads you, I’m ready.” Probing further in a conversation with the outlet, the hair care mogul explained:
“Everything has its season. You can’t have one, single job forever, for the rest of your life, at least most people don’t. You have to follow your heart, and in this moment where I just feel liberated, you know? I’ve finally been accepted, I’ve finally had the most beautiful child I’ve ever wanted — everything on my vision board has come true, for the most part — and I feel like when it’s time for me to move on, I’ll know, and it will be happy moment.”
Moore also reiterated that her departure from “RHOA” will not be sad because it will translate to her “taking a step in a different direction” and shared “hope everyone will support me in that.”
As for Burruss’ unexpected revelation at the Grammys, the 47-year-old later admitted he had no intention of sharing the news at the awards ceremony. As he revealed, the circumstances surrounding the information shared there stemmed from being there for his family and exploring new opportunities.
She explained that stepping away from the reality television show allowed her to fully embrace certain “mother duties” that were previously challenging to manage. In his words:
“Like I’m doing real mom work, and I’m loving it. I’m like, now, I know this has nothing to do with making money, but I probably wouldn’t be there for every one of those things if I didn’t have a little extra time on my hands .”
Burruss’ mention of “a little extra time” on his hands refers to the breaks Bravo is giving cast members as they navigate the uncertainty surrounding the show’s next season and the fate of the housewives, as The Blast reports.
Burruss has been a fixture on “RHOA” since its second season in 2009, sharing the ups and downs of her personal and professional journey.
Porsha Williams Willingness To Return To ‘RHOA’ Depends On This Bravo Decision

As Burruss left the show, his former nemesis, Porsha Williams, seemed to be considering a return for the right amount. As an insider put it in August 2023:
“Bravo has been trying to get Porsha to return to ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ for possible replacements, but she’s playing hardball. Bravo offered Porsha a lot of money to return, but she refused.”
According to them, the former “Dish Nation” co-host gushed to her friends about her desire to be the “highest paid Housewife of any franchise.”
While the source noted the potential for Williams’ return, they claimed, “so far, she and Bravo have not come to an agreement.” It is worth noting that the 42-year-old previously declared that he did not completely rule out a return to the television reality series in which he played from 2012 to 2021.
“I never write it off, I never downplay it in the show. I love what the girls are doing. I love that the brand is still as strong as ever, and you never know. i will say [that] I will never say ‘never,’” he expressed.
