As the kick-off date — November 20 — for the 2022 FIFA World Cup approaches, the organizers have given the audience something to enjoy and laugh about. To that end, a star-studded ad starring Brady, Jon Hamm and Mariah Carey has been released on YouTube. Brady’s acting skills were on display when he managed to steal the show with a joke about Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s age.

Brady’s cameo came after a clip of soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a goal played. The camera then cuts to the “Ted 2” actor watching the game in his kitchen, asking, “He’s getting old, isn’t he?” before biting into a stick of celery.
The joke was a direct reference to the seven-time Super Bowl champion returning for his 23rd NFL season, as he has had to field questions about his age for much of his decades-long career.
For the ad, the oldest quarterback to win the playoff game record holder is joined by actor Jon Hamm — playing Santa Claus, who is bewildered at the world’s biggest sporting event that takes place during the Christmas holidays, starting it all.
Addressing his wife, Mrs. Claus — played by actress Ellie Kemper — Santa asks, “What are we standing for? We have work to do. We’re going to need a ton of stars and lots of sweaters, some freshly baked cookies, and maybe a song.”
Once he accepts that the World Cup will be held during the holidays, Santa has a light bulb moment, wondering about the possibility of having a song to commemorate the occasion.
It’s at this point that Mariah Carey — shown growing radiant — pops up and says, “Um, do you know how busy I’ve been this year?” — a reference to her single “All I Want For Christmas Is You” which got extra attention and airtime during the holiday season.
While it’s unclear when Brady filmed the ad, one thing that seems to be growing is Ronaldo’s influence on him. The Blast previously reported that a clip of the two having a friendly chat at the Old Trafford stadium has surfaced online.
In the footage, the Manchester United forward asked his Tampa Bay Buccaneers players if he was “done” with his sporting career. The question caused Brady to pause and consider whether he was ready to leave behind his growing legacy in the National Football League.
The following day — Sunday, March 13 — the 44-year-old announced that he was coming out of retirement, nearly two months after it began.

According to a weekend update from The Blast, the couple’s impending divorce has put ongoing work on their South Florida property on hold. A source claims that even though construction on the luxury mansion has been temporarily halted for the past few weeks due to Hurricane Ian, Brady and Bündchen’s troubles haven’t helped. In the words of an insider:
“There’s no telling what they’ll do with what was supposed to be their forever marital home.”
The estranged couple originally purchased the luxury Miami Beach estate property for $17 million in 2020. They also spent an additional $10.12 million on contractors to build it to their liking.
The mega-mansion is well worth the price as it has a host of amenities such as its own spacious bathroom suite, pickleball court, organic garden, yoga terrace, meditation garden, central kitchen, prep kitchen, and outdoor kitchen.
The 1.8-acre property is located in the upscale Indian Creek Country Club community, home to the likes of Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, supermodel Adriana Lima and real estate developer Jeff Soffer.
The incomplete mansion was supposed to be equipped with three buildings — a two-story main house, a security post and a spacious gymnasium. The gym includes a massage room, exercise terrace, locker room and steam shower.
Other noteworthy features of the luxury property are said to include an elevator, sports court, movie theater, study room, hot tub, pool cabana, service landing, five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
