On Monday, agents from Homeland Security Investigations conducted searches at two of Diddy’s residences.
A day later, media sources reported that the raid was part of a trafficking investigation being conducted by federal authorities in New York.
Now, the rapper’s lawyer, Aaron Dyer, has expressed his dismay at the process, labeling it a “military-level use of force” and a “witch hunt.”

In the first public statement issued on Diddy’s behalf since Monday’s raids on his Los Angeles and Miami homes, Dyer stated:
“Yesterday, there was an excessive use of military-grade force when a search warrant was executed at Mr. Combs’ residence. There was no justification for the excessive force and hostility shown by the authorities or the way the children and employees were treated.”
The attorney explained that while his client “was never arrested,” the rapper spoke and cooperated with law enforcement authorities.
“Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor have their ability to travel restricted in any way,” Dyer added.

As the raid caught Diddy, who was preparing to vacation in the Bahamas with his children for spring break, off guard, his lawyer insisted in a statement to Page Six:
“The unprecedented ambush – paired with a sophisticated and coordinated media presence – led to a premature rush to judge Mr. Combs and nothing more than a witch hunt based on frivolous allegations made in a civil lawsuit.”
In the end, Dyer was convinced of the music mogul’s innocence and didn’t hesitate to say so:
“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every day to clear his name.”

Diddy’s Children Allegedly Arrested During Raid

Following the raid, a source close to the situation spoke about the incident, which resulted in the arrest of his two sons.
One person recounted that “the laser [were] pointing at the heads, faces, and hearts of his children as they were handcuffed and escorted out.”
The insider went on to claim that Diddy’s son was not fully clothed and described a gruesome scene where an assault rifle was pulled.
Additionally, the “I’ll Be Missing You” hitmaker’s properties in California and Florida were also affected, according to a whistleblower, who described “significant property damage to both farms.”
Combs’ protégé Brendan Paul, described in court documents as Diddy’s “drug ass,” was reportedly arrested for personally using cocaine and marijuana.

However, as the informant pointed out, “The idea that he’s a drug mule is ridiculous. He was just arrested, and he’s already been released. His arrest had nothing to do with anyone but Brendan.”

Diddy’s First Public Sighting After The Raid Was At A Private Airport

As detailed by The Blast, a video shows the Bad Boys founder being detained for questioning at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport on Monday evening.
The father of seven was seen pacing restlessly after the Customs agents interrogated him and his entourage, but remained at large as of Monday evening.
An eyewitness declared that 54-year-old Diddy was waiting for other individuals in his party, who were also stopped and questioned by federal agents during the incident.
However, the identity of those accompanying him has yet to be confirmed.

In addition to being investigated by the authorities, Diddy is also busy fighting a woman’s claim that he and two other men gang-raped her when she was in high school. According to The Blast, his response to the allegations came in a legal document filed by his lawyer.
The music executive emphasized through the filing that he “never participated in, witnessed, or was or was aware of any misconduct, sexual or otherwise, involving the Plaintiff under any circumstances whatsoever.”
Due to his innocence, Diddy refused to comply with Jane Doe’s request for a release regarding the alleged incident. He even showed his willingness to fight the charges in court by asking for a jury trial.
In addition, Diddy has requested dismissal of the complaint with prejudice in all respects, protection of attorney’s fees and other costs, and any relief deemed necessary by the court.
