Controversy
Sandalwood Drug Scandal
In September 2020, Diganth Manchale and his wife, Aindrita Ray, were summoned by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) after their names surfaced in a high-profile drug case in the Kannada film industry. Meanwhile, his wife’s video went viral where she invited people to Bally’s Casino for their special Eid al-Fitr celebration. Later, he issued a clarification on various news channels that he was only doing it for publicity as requested by the casino’s marketing team, and many other personalities from the Kannada film industry were also involved in the casino’s marketing campaign.

A few days later, Diganth was questioned for a second time by the CCB after he was accused of deleting several texts he had sent to several suspected African drug traffickers. Diganth commented on this and said,
I work with CCB. If necessary, I will appear before them again to be questioned in this matter.”
Car accident case
In 2017, the grandson of Bangalore industrialist Adikeshavulu, Geetha Vishnu, was accused of having 850 grams of cannabis in his Mercedes-Benz after he got into an accident in which he and five others were injured. It was revealed that he had been partying with his friends, where he had taken marijuana before the accident. Several local news channels reported that actors Prajwal Devaraj, Diganth Manchale, and Abishek Ambareesh were witnesses to the accident but fled the scene. Diganth denied the rumors saying that at the time of the accident, he was in Kanakpura, shooting for a film, and he was not associated with any drugs.
Award
Diganth Manchale won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Kannada) Award at the South Indian International Film Awards (SIIMA) for the film ‘Gaalipata 2.’ The event was held at the Dubai World Trade Center, UAE.

- According to Diganth’s official Instagram account, his favorite sports activities include cycling, badminton, rock climbing, surfing and diving.
- Diganth Manchale is very passionate about backflips. In June 2022, while on holiday in Goa with his wife, Diganth suffered a dislocation of his cervical vertebra while performing a stunt on the trampoline which caused his fingers to go numb. He was later sent to Bengaluru and admitted to Manipal Hospital.
