While working as a truck driver, Dhillon raised money for his first song and returned to India for his brother’s wedding. He met Desi Crew and expressed his desire to make a song with them but was rejected. Desi Crew asked Dhillon to study and practice more before releasing his first song.

Dilpreet Dhillon started his singing career in 2014 with the song “Gunday No. 1.” The song became an instant hit and gained widespread popularity. Next, he released the song “32 Bore” which was also loved by the audience. In 2016, he released his debut album “8 kartoos.”
Dhillon has released many superhit Punjabi songs including “Gulab,” “Gunday Returns,” “Thar Vala Yaar,” “Shreaam Apni,” “Fire Bolde” and “Yaar Khade Ne.”
His film debut came in 2016 with the Punjabi film “Once Upon A Time in Amritsar.”

Extramarital affairs
On June 2, 2020, his wife allegedly accused him of having an extramarital affair with a 40-year-old socialite. Amber was heard on a recording of a phone conversation with the socialite’s daughter. In the recorded phone call, which was played through the Instagram handle, the caller was identified as Amber. In a phone call, Amber asked the socialite’s daughter –
I want to ask, do you know about your mother having an affair with my husband? I ended my marriage yesterday”.
Then, in a live statement for 42 minutes, Dilpreet Dhillon said,
I am just a singer who will do my job. And the world is destroying my reputation. If my house can be saved, I ask everyone to help me do so and, please don’t try to damage it again.”
