Dinesh and Jamuna’s parents were not in favour of their marriage, and the couple got married without their parent’s consent. The couple has two sons, Rajiv Hingoo and Jignesh Hingoo. Rajiv works at Jefferies Group, an American multinational independent investment bank, and Jignesh holds a master’s degree in dental morphology, and he is the owner of Kavana Dental Private Limited in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Career

Theatre Artist

Dinesh Hingoo started his career as a theatre artist. During his college days, Dinesh participated in a theatrical production, which was staged in Mumbai. Later, he shifted to Mumbai, and he started performing in theatre and stage plays. After performing in various theatre plays, Dinesh’s interest shifted to mimicry. He participated in a Mimicry Competition Night at Open Gate Theatre in Dhobi Talao, Mumbai. Later, Dinesh continued his mimicry shows with celebrities like Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey, Mohammed Rafi, Talat Mahmood, and Hemant Kumar.

Film

In 1967, Dinesh Hingoo made his debut in the Bollywood film industry with the film Taqdeer in which he played the role of a villain.

Dinesh is known for his unique laughter style, and imitation of a Parsi businessman in various films like Qurbaani (1980), Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Asmaan Se Ooncha (1989), Paap Ka Ant (1989), Bhabhi (1991), Judaai (1997), Baadshah (1999), and Phir Hera Pheri (2006).

In 1989, he appeared in the film Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharni in which he played the role of Jhokumal Makmal Pyarelal. In 1993, Dinesh played the role of Bajodia Seth in the film Baazigar.
