Dinesh Mangaluru or Dinesh Mangalore is an Indian film actor and art director, who mostly works in the Kannada film industry. He is best known for appearing in the sequel to the popular pan-Indian film KGF: Chapter 1 (2018) and KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) as Shetty.

As an Actor
In 1988, Dinesh Mangaluru made his film debut with the Kannada-language political drama film ‘Aaspota.’ The film won multiple awards including the Best Film award at the 36th Filmfare Awards South.
After that, he appeared in the Kannada language films Nagamandala (1996), Z (1999), and Smile (1999). He appeared in the 2007 Kannada language crime drama film ‘Aa Dinagalu’ as Seetharam Shetty. Set in the underworld of 1980s Bangalore, the film tells the story of businessman Chetan who fights to save his love, Mallika, from her scheming father. Chetan’s father. He hired underworld don Kotwal Ramachandra to handle the case. In the film, Seetharam Shetty is Kotwal’s right-hand man.

In 2013, he appeared in the Kannada-language biographical film ‘Attahasa,’ based on Indian bandit-turned-domestic terrorist Veerappan, who kidnaps politicians for ransom. In the film, Mangaluru played the role of Minister Nagappa, one of the politicians kidnapped by forest robber Veerappan.

He played the role of Kulkarni, an MLA of the ruling party of Maharashtra, in the 2015 Kannada-language action thriller film ‘Rana Vikrama.’

Other Kannada films in which he appeared include Ricky (2016), Kirik Party (2016), and Days of Borapura (2018). He rose to fame with the pan-Indian period action sequels KGF: Chapter 1 (2018) and KGF: Chapter 2 (2022) in which he played the role of Shetty. The film follows a young man named Rocky, who seeks power and wealth to fulfill a promise to his dying mother. In the film, Rocky, in his quest for power and wealth arrives in Bombay, where he works for Shetty, a notorious gold smuggler.
