Dionne Warwick shares her thoughts on Elon Musk’s latest move as the owner of Twitter.
The business magnate and investor acquired Twitter for $44 billion in 2022. However, Musk’s acquisition led to a mass flight of many celebrities from the social media platform. Things are made worse by the $8 monthly fee to verify blue checks.
However, Tesla’s CEO has made another important move that has people wagging their tongues, including the “Heartbreaker” singer.
Elon Musk Hires Female CEO For Twitter
On Thursday, the tech billionaire shocked the Twitterverse when he confirmed that he was stepping down as CEO and getting a replacement.

“Excited to announce that I have a new CEO for X/Twitter,” Musk said in a tweet. “He’s starting in ~six weeks! I will transition to executive chairman & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysop.”
Fans may remember that on December 18, SpaceX’s CEO and chief engineer used his own Twitter account to conduct a poll, asking users if he should step down as head of the company. Unfortunately, the majority of voters (57.5 percent) ended up favoring his resignation.
Musk immediately agreed that he would follow the will of the majority. However, he soon countered the suggestion saying he would only submit “as soon as I find someone stupid enough to take the job!” This prompted many to slam him, suggesting that he knew buying the social media platform was a problem in the first place.
Finally, in February, the tech guru bowed to the pressure of many of the platform’s users and announced he would be looking for a replacement before the end of the year.
Compared to previous changes to the app, hiring a female CEO is likely the best decision Musk has made at Twitter since taking over. The founder of “X.com”, since taking over, has faced criticism for a series of policy changes on Twitter, which often come without a clear reason and cause concern among users,
According to reports, many advertisers are fleeing the platform due to concerns about hateful behavior, mass layoffs or questions about the company’s future. At the same time, he has pushed to sell consumers on a new paid subscription model favoring only verified subscribers and removing blue checks from celebrities and high-profile figures in moves that have since backfired.
Excited to announce that I have hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. He will be starting in ~6 weeks!

With so many bad options, the president of the philanthropic Musk Foundation has been trying to do damage control, and his latest move to make a woman his successor seems to be widely appreciated by everyone. Although Musk did not initially confirm who would take over from him, sources claimed NBCUniversal’s head of advertising, Linda Yaccarino, was a possible candidate.
Dionne Warwick Jokes That She Will Be Twitter’s New CEO
Since the father of ten didn’t name the woman who would play the role at the time, it allowed users to make an inside joke about the hiring. Among them was the singer Warwick, one of Twitter’s darlings, who teased that he was the hired hand Musk was talking about becoming the next CEO of Twitter.
He tweeted, “I’m excited to officially take on the role of CEO of Twitter,” write Warwick. “This has been in the works for months.” Many of his 632.8K followers responded to the tweet.
One wrote, “Ha! I hope you’re not joking, Dionne. You will be a huge improvement over the current leadership! Another user responded, “I love it! And will you consider the US Presidential race since you got my vote for both? ?.” A third person, referencing one of his famous songs, said, “I’m going to say a little prayer for you ??.”

Dionne Warwick Rivals Chucky For Most Popular Celebrity On Twitter
The veteran singer is a Twitter legend for a reason. Last Thanksgiving, as reported by The Blast, the extraordinary vocalist engaged in a hilarious beef with the scary doll character Chucky when reclaiming his throne as the most followed celebrity on Twitter.
The gruesome vintage doll’s official account started the beef by calling out the 81-year-old singer in a famous tweet that read, “We all know I’m the most popular celebrity on #twitter, but @dionnewarwick comes in second #chucky.”
