In an unexpected turn of events, disgraced former Representative George Santos has apparently turned to the controversial weight loss drug Ozempic in a last-ditch effort to lose weight.
The Republican figure, who has come under fire for allegations of falsehoods and questionable actions related to his campaign finances and personal history, was reportedly heard giving credit to the drug.
George Santos Allegedly Started Ozempic’s Weight Loss Journey
At a posh Manhattan gathering, the scandal-plagued personality reportedly mentioned losing weight with the help of diabetes medication. All this reportedly took place during a birthday celebration for Park Magazine publisher Chris Pape at the luxury restaurant Bice.
Source informed Page Six that Santos, who attended revealed, “I’ve lost 92 pounds using Ozempic over the past eight months.” They also emphasized that he acknowledged his fellow pharmacist’s concerns about the drug.
However, the 35-year-old remained adamant, confidently sharing that he had managed to “lose almost 100 pounds” with the help of the drug. The outspoken politician also allegedly boasted about his jiu-jitsu skills.
When a partygoer playfully suggested Santos could engage in a “cage match” with his political rival Senator Mitt Romney, reminiscent of tech moguls Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. He reportedly said:
“I’ll do it, but it’s not fair because I’m Brazilian, and I’ll beat him because I studied jiu-jitsu for five years.”

When contacted, the publication confirmed that a spokesperson for Santos declined to comment on the alleged use of Ozempic. However, his side confirmed that he was present at the event despite not realizing it was a birthday celebration.
They also confirmed that the controversial politician remembered the joke mentioned and added that he “participated in Brazilian jiu-jitsu in his youth.”
In May, the former HotelsPro employee, whose public persona has been tarnished by controversy, reportedly faced increased challenges in charges brought against him by the FBI and the Department of Justice.
CNN reports that public integrity prosecutors from New York and Washington agencies are investigating allegations related to false statements in his campaign finance reports and other matters.
Details of the federal charges in the eastern district of New York are being kept secret, but reports indicate that he is expected to appear in court.
During his short tenure as representative, Santos has faced allegations of misconduct, including violating campaign finance rules, masterminding a credit card fraud scheme, and providing false information about his education and work history.

After he faced a string of federal charges, the comedian pulled no punches in his handling of the case, quickly mocking it via social media posts. Wearing a bold black graphic T-shirt, the “Will & Grace” guest star sat before the camera playfully ending a pretend phone call before sharing:
“I just got off the phone with the bailiff because I heard from a little birdie, the DOJ, that our girl, George Santos, was just charged [a] 13-count federal indictment. Count 13!”
Handler humorously highlighted Republicans’ mixed emotions in response to the situation, — while saddened by the possibility of one of their members facing prison, they’re “just happy to see a drag queen suffer.”
The “Chelsea Lately” host revealed that the lawmaker, who is known for using different names and identities, had to surrender her passport to the authorities. This action may mean he will miss next year’s Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
Afterwards, the “Masked Singer” contestant posted a clip of Santos labeling his ongoing criminal case a “witch hunt.” As a quote from a statement by a Donald Trump supporter using the same phrase displayed above his head, he replied, “It’s like there’s an AI program for Republican criminals called ChatGOP. No, the reality is, you’re a criminal, so wear kitten heels because we’re just getting started.”
Afterward, he expressed his desire for the congressman’s trial, jokingly referring to it as a “drag queen story hour.” The 2009 Bravo A-List Award winner signed off with a farewell quip, saying, “Bye, girl. Or is it Adios? I can’t track down the alias you’re using today. Byeee.”
