Reportedly, on June 9, 2020, she committed suicide by jumping from the 14th floor of her fiancé’s apartment in Jankalyan Nagar in Malad West. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital in Borivali, Mumbai. Reportedly, he has been fighting depression with depression for a long time. On June 8, 2020, she was with her fiance, Rohan Rai and some of her friends. His time of death was reported at 2:25 am. Senior Inspector Jagdev Kalapad of Malvani Police Station said in an interview,
There are six friends in all. They drink after dinner. Disha Salian, who was also drunk, walked to the window of the apartment from where she fell around 1 am on Tuesday.”

Whereas, according to some other media sources, it was a case of accidental death and not suicide. Reportedly, she is having problems with her fiance, Rohan Rai. She had a fight with Rohan and had locked herself in the bathroom the same day she died. After their fight, she gets too drunk and slips from the 14th floor of Rohan’s apartment.
Reportedly, Bollywood actor Suraj Pancholi is responsible for her death, and is said to be pregnant with Suraj’s child. Then, Suraj explained the whole thing and said,
I don’t even know Disha. I have never met him in my life. I only came to know about him after his death, and then Sushant’s death, that too through social media. I have never interacted, do not know what he looks like.”
Just days after his death, on 14 June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room. Initially, it was said that Sushant committed suicide, but after Sushant’s father filed a complaint against Rhea Chakraborty, the investigation took a different phase. During the investigation of Sushant’s case, various media sources talked about Disha Salian’s suicide and claimed that Disha’a’s suicide was related to Sushant’s case. In September 2020, the case of Disha’s death was reopened and the CBI started an investigation in her case; to know whether it is suicide or murder and to know the connection between Disha and Sushant’s death case.

- Her fiancé, Rohan Rai, spoke about the tragic night when Disha allegedly committed suicide almost two years after her death in November 2022. Additionally, she spoke about pregnancy rumors and her relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput. Rohan says that Disha ‘mixed’ his drinks that night, and it all happened so quickly that they didn’t know what happened. He said,
We were joined by 4 of our friends and for 2-3 days, we drank. Disha has mixed her drinks improperly, as that used to backfire on her. His last call was to his school friends in London. It all happened in five minutes. I took the phone from Disha to talk to her friend, while she went to the master bedroom. A few minutes later, I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. Since the door was unlocked, I opened it and saw some alcohol spilled on the bed. I assumed that she was changing her clothes in the bathroom and came back. A few minutes later, my friend and I knocked again. When I didn’t get an answer, I rushed to the bathroom but he wasn’t there. We searched the whole flat and started to worry. We again went into the master bedroom and started checking the wardrobe as well. At this point, we were all in a state of panic. That’s when I noticed the window of the main room was open. When I looked down from there, I began to recognize her nightgown on the ground. I was shocked and asked my friend, ‘ Kya hi yeah?’ I was in denial and started slapping myself. It felt like a nightmare. Then I stood on the parapet thinking that I would jump too. My friends pulled me back. Not long after, the police arrived. They asked me to remove my clothes to check my body for any signs of a fight and also searched the house. Some of our friends rushed Disha to the hospital. The first two hospitals denied admission, and the third hospital that agreed to admit him declared him dead on arrival.”
