- In the 1990s, a Bengali newspaper published an article about the baby girl, whose parents had abandoned her on the side of the road, near a garbage can. In one report, they also talked about the baby’s weak condition. Soon, local NGOs and government officials took action and rescued the child. The child is Dishani.
- When Mithun Chakraborty got the news about the abandoned child, he decided to adopt the child. His wife, Yogeeta, also supported his decision. After all the legal paperwork, they finally adopted her and named her Dishani.
