Nick Cannon may finally be putting his baby-making skills to rest after welcoming 12 kids with multiple women.
The rapper turned TV star recently opened up about his famously large family and the possibility of having more children. As for the latter, the “Wild ‘n Out” host declared he’s not interested in creating more life…yet!
Nick Cannon Is Happy With 12 Kids
Cannon recently opened up about his life as a father to twelve children ranging in age from infants to pre-teens. While anyone would be overwhelmed with multiple children, the 43-year-old seems to be handling his responsibilities smoothly.
Her impressive feat makes one wonder if she doesn’t mind adding to her grandchild; however, this was a question he was tired of hearing. Cannon laughed off the idea of adding to her family, declaring she was taking a break from making babies. In his words:
“I’m cold now. No plans on the horizon as of now. It’s so funny, everyone is always trying to get me to have more kids. It’s like, 12 isn’t enough?”
TV personality shares Moroccan twins Monroe and ex-wife Mariah Carey; son of Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon; and daughter of the Power Queen with Brittany Bell. He has another set of twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, with Abby De La Rosa and a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin.
The list continues with a son, Cinta Legenda, with Bre Tiesi; a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole; and two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died aged five months in December 2021, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon.
Despite having many children to take care of and different mothers to co-parent with, the 43-year-old doesn’t shy away from his struggles. When asked to describe the most challenging aspect of raising 12 children, Cannon declared: “My whole life has been challenging. I don’t live a normal existence, but I accept it. I like a challenge.”
“I wouldn’t say there’s one particular thing that stands out more than the others,” he continued. “Every day, there is a new challenge, and I accept it.” As for the happiest part of being a father of twelve, the multi-hyphenated star says he is adored by his children, saying:
“Just hearing your kids say, ‘I love you, Dad.’ You know what I mean? The first time they say it, whether they’re a year old or 18 months old, hearing it from your kids who are on the verge of adolescence, there’s nothing better than that.”
He added that receiving “big hugs” and “picking them up from school” are some of the best perks of being a father of big kids. Cannon continued to rave about his proud dad moments PEOPLEshared that he’s “ready for all kinds of spring break stuff that suits us.”
“So, a lot of getting back outside again, a lot of basketball starts again, and just a lot of sports and outdoor activities,” he explained. “As a father, that’s what you organize your schedule, all your children’s extracurricular activities.”
Nick Cannon Teases Fans About ‘Baby #25’
MEGA
Before expressing her disinterest in having more children, Cannon had fans speculating her goal to have 25 children after a hilarious TikTok video. Last September, she teased fans about her son’s child support drama in a clip of her filling out paperwork at a desk.
As she works while munching on a snack, her phone suddenly alerts her to a FaceTime call from “Baby Mama #25.” The ringtone was a woman’s voice, saying: “Nick, it’s time for your child support.” However, Cannon ignored the call and left an automated message that read, “Sorry, I can’t talk right now.”
The “Drumline” actor repeated the same statement in the caption of the post, sparking mixed reactions from fans. One TikTok user compared the woman’s voice to the 43-year-old’s ex-wife Mariah Carey, while another joked: “The fact that she gave them their number????”
Meanwhile, some fans found the content insensitive, with one writing: “Not cute and not funny you created all the families/single moms who are broken and lucky to at least have a part time dad.”
Despite joking about paying child support, Cannon previously announced he was “not in the state-run child support system.” During an appearance on “The Jason Lee Podcast,” he explained that his children and their mother are free to access whatever they need.
“My money is on them [sic] money, them [sic] money is my money … My account is their account, and there’s a lot there, so we’re not going to run out,” Cannon explained, stressing that he doesn’t care about protecting his assets even with 12 children.
