Dog gets stuck inside classic muscle car’s engine while chasing cat

This dog has been resurrected.

Nova, a 2-year-old Weimaraner, was rescued after she got stuck in the engine of a classic car while chasing a cat, according to a report.

The dog burrowed itself deep into the engine bay of a ’67 Chevy Nova in Phoenix while chasing a cat that was trying to hide inside the car, SWNS reported.

The American Humane Society (AHS) of Arizona was called to the scene of the strange incident.

The picture shows Nova struggling in the engine components, unable to free his head.

After about 15 minutes of keeping the frightened pup’s limbs free, they gently pushed him out of the vehicle to safety.

Nova immediately began wagging her tail to show her appreciation for her rescuer, according to the outlet.

AHS Field Operations Manager Ruthie Jesus said she’s only ever seen one other dog get stuck in a car engine in the 10 years she’s been on the job — but that dog was much smaller than Nova, who weighs about 50 pounds.

The agency brought the dog in for medical observation, and after being sterilized, was up for adoption.
