Dog the Bounty Hunter is considering joining the hunt for fugitive killer Danelo Cavalcante, who has eluded law enforcement since he escaped from a Pennsylvania prison nearly two weeks ago.
Although Dog has been following Cavalcante’s case since he crawled between two walls to escape prison, he recently started making calls to law enforcement sources in Pennsylvania, a source close to the reality star’s bodyguard told TMZ.
The dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, may only join the hunt in Chester County if he can put together a plan of action to track down the wanted killer, the source added.
The 68-year-old has been slow to ramp up new cases following the furore he sparked in the high-profile hunt for Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie,
Pennsylvania state police warned Tuesday that Cavalcante, 34, may now be armed after he allegedly stole a .22-caliber rifle from a home — as the homeowner shot the fugitive seven times during the brazen theft.

It is unclear whether the man, who fits the killer’s description, was beaten. No blood was found at the scene.
Hundreds of police, including SWAT officers in armored trucks, swarmed the neighborhood after a helicopter spotted a dangerous fugitive in South Coventry Township.
State police warned residents in the townships of South Coventry, West Vincent and East Nantmeal to shelter in place.

The five-foot-tall killer escaped from prison on August 31, a week after he was sentenced to life in prison for stabbing to death his ex-girlfriend, Deborah Brandao, 33, while their two children were present.
He made a daring prison break by climbing a crab up the wall and running across the prison roof.
