Doja Cat has deleted a post revealing her upcoming album, “Scarlet,” which is scheduled for release on September 22.
The pop sensation took to Instagram to officially announce the album’s release date. While he didn’t give specific details, he did reveal the album’s striking cover art, depicting a menacing crimson spider stuck to a drop of blood. It’s worth noting that the artwork seems to bear a resemblance to a cover by German metal band Chaver.
Doja Cat Removes His Album Art Cover Just 24 Hours After Unveiling It
In the early months of this summer, Chaver revealed their upcoming album titled “Of Gloom.” Interestingly, the artwork for the album was created by Dusty Ray — the same person who worked at Doja’s.
The band’s album cover showcases prominent pink arachnids along with small spots, looking more like dots than drops of blood. Per A pitchfork, the artwork also includes the band’s name and album title as part of its design. Announcing “Of Gloom,” which drops the same day as “Scarlet,” Chaver wrote on social media:
“The striking cover art, expertly designed by Dusty Ray @sloppjockey_ert (who has been with us since our first album), serves as a captivating contrast to the album’s intense music, setting the stage for a journey to a painful place.”

The decision was apparently made after similarities were found between his album cover and the metal band CHAVER. Both artworks were created by artist Dusty Ray. pic.twitter.com/FeX1PfHhxw

Upon seeing the similarities between the two artworks, Doja finally decided to pull them down, because PopCrave noticed on X — formerly Twitter. Responding to updates, one write, “I’m confused why so similar omg?? Damn near exact replica He commissioned this so it should be custom, even if it’s by the same artist ☹️ Disgusting man.”
“The cover is very nice. I blame Dusty ray for the equation,” second person recordedand a third quoted their joy, typing, “I’m actually glad, because that little spider didn’t do it for me.”
Prior to the dramatic incident, the “Wine Pon You” artiste had shown his versatility by displaying simple yet captivating dance moves on his Instagram Story. In a ten-second clip, she gracefully sways her slender waist, revealing her charming charm.
This time, the award-winning songstress decked herself out in a petite white skirt tied with a wide brown belt and a sheer bralette-style top that left little to the imagination. Beginning the dance, she locked her arms and raised one leg, causing her waist to twist rhythmically.
Doja kept a smile on her face as she changed styles, crossing her arms around her waist as she continued to move her waist adorned with a belly ring. Although short, the rhythmic rocking adds to the anticipation that fans have been experiencing since he announced the release of his upcoming album.

The Blast recently reported that the multi-talented artiste remains steadfast in his battle against his fans. He made his unaffected stance on public perception clear through a message shared on his Instagram Story.
To that end, he uploaded an image depicting a faucet with a black head, pouring water into what appears to be a bathtub. Accompanying the visual, he wrote the following words:
“What’s important to me is that my fans know who I am and that others are stuck trying to find out.”
Doja and her fans have been at loggerheads since the “So High” hitmaker told them to “get a life, get a job and help your parents with the house.” The rant resulted in three of X’s most famous — formerly Twitter — stan accounts, namely Doja HQ, The Kittens Room and Doja Cat News, being deactivated.
As the online conflict continued, the operator of the account associated with the “Need to Know” artist apologized to him. It finally got to the point where the discussion turned to the demands and obligations that come with celebrity status in today’s digital age.
Speaking on the issue, one of the operators stated, “Artists don’t owe fans anything beyond surface level respect. It’s a 50/50 thing, you know? I respect you for what you do, and you respect me in return for that support.”
Doja seemed to ignore the situation, making it worse when one of his supporters informed him that they had conducted a poll of X to determine the most suitable name for the fanbase in 2020. In response, the singer-songwriter claimed that the individual who started the poll was just “drunk teenagers”, adding “My fans don’t call themselves shit.”
