The new single, titled “Don’t Make Me Have To Come Down There,” was created in Parton’s familiar acoustic guitar blend, and the lyrics were written from God’s perspective. “Don’t make me have to go down there,” Parton sang. “My children, you better be careful / If you don’t pay attention the consequences will be dire / Don’t make me have to go down there.”
The song’s cover art shows an open sky with light from it illuminating several tall buildings, which may signify God looking down on the earth.
