On Monday night, the former US President used his Truth Social platform to support Jesse Law for re-election in Clark County.

“Chairman Jesse Law is doing a great job leading the Clark County Republican Party,” Trump wrote. “Jesse was with us from the beginning, and he has worked tirelessly to Protect our Elections and Grow our America First movement.”

“Jesse Law has my Complete and Total Endorsement for re-election!” he concluded.

While Trump supporters are familiar with Jesse Law, not too much is known about longtime Nevada Republican Jill Douglass. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, he was born in Florida and moved to Nevada in 1994. He has more than 30 years of experience as a financial services advisor and manager.

Douglass had been a Republican since the age of 18; however, he has only become active in politics in recent years. “I really decided that I wanted to be more involved, our country, our state, our county needs people to get off the bench and into the trenches,” Douglass told the publication.

Douglass wanted to encourage more Republicans to vote and prevent them from “looking in the rearview mirror.” He added, “We can’t change anything that happened in the past, can we? We have to look through the windshield, we have to stay focused forward.”

Both Douglass and Law will participate in a luncheon hosted by the Nevada Republican Club on July 11 at the Ahern Hotel. Clark County Republicans will be able to hear from both candidates before they make a final decision on who to vote for in the upcoming election, which is scheduled for just over a week from now, on July 18.
