Donald Trump Shares Polls Showing Him Leading The 2024 Republican Nomination

Former US President Donald Trump seems optimistic about his chances of recapturing the White House, or at least securing the 2024 Republican nomination on the ticket.

The former POTUS took to his Truth Social platform on Monday to share several polls that show him leading in the 2024 Republican nomination race.

Donald Trump Exits July Vote For 2024 Republican Presidential Candidate

While there are several contenders as to who will be the next Republican nominee for President of the United States, there is at least one poll that has Trump’s name at the top of the list. According to a July poll that asked, “Who would you rather see as the Republican nominee for President in 2024?” Trump’s name was at the top of the list with 77% of the vote.

52,605 individuals on Twitter cast their ballots, leaving Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with just 18% of the vote and 5% voting for other candidates. Believe it or not, that’s not the only poll showing Trump coming out on top in the race to become the next Republican nominee for President.

Trump Has Many Supporters Ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election

Another poll shows Trump leading with 56% for the 2024 Republican National primary. DeSantis has just 17%, while Rawaswamy has 8%, Pence has 7%, Haley has 3%, Scott has 3%, and Christie has 3%. It seems doubtful that Mike Pence, Trump’s former Vice President, will be able to score the Republican nomination.

However, Pence has been quite vocal ahead of his campaign. He recently criticized both Trump and DeSantis for not understanding the importance of helping Ukraine in their ongoing war against Russia.

Earlier this month, Mike Pence told the Associated Press that Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis “just don’t understand” the importance of supporting Ukraine.

“With all due respect, I think the former president and governor of Florida do not understand the national interest of the American people in supporting the Ukrainian military in repelling the Russian military in Ukraine,” Pence said during an interview before a campaign event in Sioux City.

Pence visited Ukraine in the last week of June. He said, “Make no mistake, China is watching.” DeSantis previously said that “being more entangled in the territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not one of” the United States’ vital national interests. Donald Trump expressed similar sentiments.
