Actress Donna D’Errico is still seeking justice for her rescue dog, Scout.
After sending her off for a routine grooming appointment, the “Baywatch” alum returned to find that her pooch wasn’t her usual post-appointment self. It quickly turned into every pet owner’s nightmare, with Scout receiving emergency surgery after doctors discovered her anal gland had ruptured internally.
The 54-year-old actress believes that the vet, Sam’s Green Paw, was responsible for rupturing Scout’s anal gland by squeezing it too hard during a grooming appointment. However, it appears the grooming company will not cover Scout’s emergency vet bills, as Donna requested. What makes this situation even more alarming is the fact that Donna doesn’t seem to be the only one whose pet is suffering at the clinic.

On Monday, the “Frank and Penelope” cast shared an update on Instagram, including another photo of Scout clearly suffering and in pain.
“UPDATE: Scout is recovering and will thank the emergency vets who treated her after her horrific experience that almost ended her life,” she wrote. “@samsgreenpaw still has never taken any responsibility or offered to cover any of Scout’s vet bills. They just shut up and turn off comments on their IG page. #justiceforscout.”
“I took this photo of Scout in the waiting room at the emergency vet,” he continued. “She was fine until I took her to @samsgreenpaw in Studio City to be groomed. After that things got very bad very quickly. At first I thought maybe he had been exposed to some kind of poison in Sam’s Greenpaw. But then the emergency vet who examined him told me something that made me cry.”
In a previous post, he had described in graphic detail how his anal gland had apparently been squeezed hard enough to burst, causing the infection to spread throughout his body. Although he was initially given antibiotics, emergency surgery was required to save Scout’s life.
Donna Shares Green Paw Sam’s Negative Reviews As ‘Evidence’ Of Guilt

“@samsgreenpaw refuses to take responsibility for what was done to Scout and the suffering she went through that nearly killed her,” Donna claimed. In the post, he also included various screenshots of other negative reviews, where other dog owners claimed their dogs got sick after they visited the grooming service.
“Oh, I just picked up my dog from getting on the plane there and there’s something wrong with him,” claimed one customer. “Won’t eat or drink – was at the vet yesterday. Called Sam to ask if he ate something he shouldn’t and I got the same answer as the hostel manager left and will call me tomorrow. What happened there??”
“I picked up my dog on Monday and he has had diarrhea ever since. The daycare manager left me a message but by the time I called back, she had ‘left for the day,’” complained another customer. “I had a similar situation – picked up my dog and he had explosive diarrhoea. Not just after but before pick up,” commented another customer.
“Get a lawyer, they almost killed your dog! They should be closed because of poor nurses,” one user commented on Donna’s post. Donna replied, “Already talked to someone.”
Sam’s Green Legs Refuses to Take Responsibility for Scout’s Rupture

In another Instagram post shared over a week ago, Donna revealed that she had tried to resolve the situation amicably at first, until the manager at Sam’s Green Paw stopped responding to her allegations.
“I just heard from the owner of @samsgreenpaw asking me to remove my post about Scout’s traumatic experience,” she began. “At first he sounded compassionate. His words in the email made it sound like if I really believed it was their fault then they would do the right thing by Scout. But in the meantime he asked me to remove my post. I noticed that he did not offer to cover Scout’s vet bills. I replied and told him I would not remove my post until they did right by Scout. I also told him that I had sent Scout’s vet bills to his manager and tried to get them to do the right thing right. I told him that I had also told his manager that I intended to post about Scout’s experience to warn others, and he didn’t seem to mind.”

“Since I won’t take down my post until @samsgreenpaw does it right by Scout, all his emails after that have a different tone. He is no longer compassionate or caring,” he continued. “In the first email he had said if I truly believed it was their fault then they would without question do the right thing by Scout. That quickly turned into something more like Scout had a preexisting condition so it would happen anywhere (Scout didn’t have a preexisting condition). I also received an email from him now saying that he is talking to the vet and that he plans to post things in his defense. I can’t wait to see what can happen. And the last email I got from him was accusing me it was all about the money. Dear please.”
“Oh and the owner of Sam’s Greenpaw tried to warn me about defamation,” he added. “After I finished educating him on the difference between defamation and defamation, I basically said the following. You have to state untrue s— to have a case. I’m not stupid.”

“A true animal advocate will not worry about defending himself or talking to vets for excuses or finding a way out of covering vet bills when a dog is injured while in your care, or accusing someone of being only about money when they are demanding justice ,” he concluded. “A true animal advocate and stand-up person will do the right thing immediately.”
Donna is still looking for justice for Scout, and many fans hope she gets it. The full story of what happened to Scout can be read below:
