New Kids on the Block fans are thrilled with the recent announcement that the band will be releasing their first new album in 11 years in May. So excited that a group of them learned the dance to their lead single, “Kids” and formed a flash group in front of Wahlburgers St. Charles, Illinois.
When Donnie Wahlberg got wind of this dance party outside one of his restaurants, he did what every Blockhead dreams he would do – show up and dance with them!

When Wahlberg, 54, heard about the flash mob outside Wahlburgers, he didn’t just show up, he joined in! He also recorded the experience and shared it on NKOTB’s TikTok page.
“So, I heard a rumor that there’s a group of New Kids fans doing choreography from the ‘Kids’ video, Kids New’s new song, at my restaurant, Wahlburgers,” he said as he drove to the restaurant. “So we’re going to crash.”
When he pulled up in front of the restaurant, he yelled, “I heard something’s going on here,” and was met with screams and cheers. After greeting everyone in the flash mob, they performed a dance for him.
The singer and actress couldn’t contain her excitement. He announced that he was going to buy everyone lunch and then said, “I’d feel bad if I didn’t do it with you at least once” before he joined in the flash mob fun.

Loyal NKOTB fans. Most of them have been fans since NKOTB first started in the music industry in the 80’s and are still going strong. So of course, many of them took to the comments section to share their joy for Wahlberg to show up for his fans and dance with them.
“This is why New Kids will always be the greatest boy band ever,” one fan wrote. Another added, “NKOTB is superior to others!! Donnie will always be my favorite.”

Just a few days ago, Wahlberg, along with fellow NKOTB members Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood, shared a dance tutorial for their new single, “Kids,” in a TikTok video.
After going through some slow motions, the three then went into the dance at “full speed.”
Many of their loyal fans commented, including Wahlberg’s wife, Jenny McCarthy, who simply wrote, “Wow.”
Live Nation Concerts shared, “NKOTB with the moves!!”
Many other fans also shared their opinions.
“Look at you guys helping us stay in our 40s and moving,” wrote one. Another said, “Still got it even 30 years later.”

The ’80s hit group will feel like “Still Kids” this May when their first album in 11 years drops.
The group, which consists of Wahlberg, McIntyre, Wood, Jonathan Knight, and Jordan Knight, recently released the lead single from the album, “Kids,” a song that reflects on their past and how they continue to stay young today.
The album will be released on May 17 via BMG and will feature 14 tracks. Wahlberg also wrote seven songs and is also the creative director of the project. McIntyre co-wrote six songs on the album.
Wahlberg said in a statement about the album, “It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made. But it’s the funnest, most comfortable album we’ve ever made.”
He went on to explain that this album will bring their fans “full circle”.
“It’s about hope and possibility and being ourselves,” she said.

When he’s not making music and sneaking into flash mobs, Wahlberg is hard at work filming new episodes of “Blue Bloods.”
One thing she has been vocal about recently is the fact that she would love for her two worlds to collide – NKOTB and “Blue Bloods.”
Wahlberg recently told Andy Cohen during an appearance on “Andy Cohen Live” on SiriusXM that only one member of NKOTB has ever made an appearance on the show – Jordan Knight, in an uncredited role in 2011.
“Listen, I’ve tried. It didn’t take Joey’s mind to do it, and I’m sure he’d be up for it if there was a good part, but it just wasn’t the right thing,” Wahlberg said.
Just last year, Wahlberg revealed to an executive producer on the show his bucket list. One of the items on the list was to get McIntyre on the show.
“Surprise Joey on the show because you told me you were going to get him on the show a decade ago and we’re still waiting. So we’ll see,” Wahlberg told Cohen. “It’s a bucket list for me on the show for sure.”
