A DoorDash driver has been charged after they mistakenly drove into a swamp while following GPS directions to deliver a customer’s Dunkin Donuts order.
The driver, whose name has not been released, claimed they were driving down a road in Middleton, Massachusetts, when their GPS directed them to a “dirt road” and they “somehow ended up driving into a body of water” around noon, the Middleton Police Department said in a statement. .
With donuts in hand, the panicked driver made it out of the vehicle and walked to a nearby home on Kenney Road, where they called police.
They told officers that they had tried to get to Mill Street, but somehow ended up being directed to “drive into a body of water.”

Police found a partially submerged vehicle on the dirt road behind 18 Kenney Road with the motor “still running.”
“The operator then asked to be taken to the hospital,” Middleton police said.
The driver has been charged with reckless operation of a motor vehicle and a request for an immediate threat license suspension has been filed, according to police.
