Dotun Olubeko To Charity Lawson: ‘You Have Rekindled My Passion’

On Monday night, fans watched as Charity Lawson struggled to choose between her final two men, Joey Graziadei and Dotun Olubeko, on the finale of “The Bachelorette” — both of whom she admitted she was in love with.

Lawson ended up making the difficult choice to send Graziadei home right before he was about to propose, leaving Graziadei and Lawson in tears, but those tears soon turned to tears of joy when she said yes to Olubeko after he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Following the live final, Olubeko took to Instagram to break the silence on this journey.

During the “Bachelor” finale, viewers watched Olubeko confess her love to Lawson just before she got down on one knee.

“Charity, we’ve been through a lot from our first kiss in the mansion to conquering our fears 200 feet in the air, running through New Orleans, and most importantly, falling in love,” the “Bachelor” contestant told Lawson during the proposal . “You have been able to make me feel very special. You have made me feel adored and validated and wanted.”

“And to receive it from a woman of your caliber, I don’t think you’ll ever understand what it means to me, but I’m sure I want to spend the rest of my life showing you. 100 percent,” he continued. “I want you to know that I am fully committed to you when you stand in front of me. I wouldn’t change a thing about you.”

Right before Olubeko got down on his knees, Lawson also had some kind words for Olubeko. “I always say that being here and being on this journey has taught me that one conversation can change everything,” he began before adding, “When I think of that moment and when I think of you, it takes me back to Oceanside when we shared a special moment that changed my life, truly, forever. When I looked into your eyes at that moment, I saw a man who respected me, who valued me, who adored me, and a man that I could love forever.”

Lawson continued, “You’ve made me feel alive, you’ve made me believe in love again. You’ve made me feel so valued and seen. So, Dotun, as I stand here right now, I want a future for- long time with you. I see you as my husband, I see you as my future. I see it so clearly. I don’t have any doubts. I don’t question it.
