Former Nickelodeon star, Drake Bell, and his wife Janet Von Schmeling’s marriage is allegedly on the rocks.
According to reports, the couple broke up after the singer overcame personal problems. Bell entered “treatment” while Von Schmeling moved back home to Florida with their son, although they have yet to publicly confirm that they are no longer together.
The actor was spotted in early December inhaling gas from a balloon while driving with his son. At the time, he was still on two years’ probation for two counts of “attempted child endangerment and dissemination of material harmful to minors.”

According to the publication, a source shared that the two are headed for divorce as it appears the former Nickelodeon star’s problems have caused an irreparable rift in the marriage.
News of the split comes after Bell was photographed earlier last month inhaling gas from a balloon while sitting in the parking lot of a California vape shop with his son in the back seat of his car.
At the time, the “Drake & Josh” alum was still serving two years of probation on child endangerment charges. He also had other run-ins with the law, including two DUI convictions.
It is not clear which problem prompted Von Schmeling to conclude that she had “had enough” of him and no longer wanted to continue their union.
The 36-year-old and 28-year-old began dating in 2013 and tied the knot in a low-profile ceremony in 2018.

Meanwhile, it is alleged that Bell has gone to seek treatment to help with his problems and his wife is receiving help from her family at this difficult time. Per Page Six, Von Schmeling had returned to Florida with their son, seemingly starting a new life for himself.
“They had an amazing time before. He needs to focus on getting healthy, and they will be great co-parents in the future,” a source told the publication about the estranged couple.
“It’s a bad moment for Drake. But he’s a great dad when he’s healthy and sober.”
Neither Bell nor Von Schmeling have yet to publicly confirm their split as it seems they want to keep the details of their split strictly within the family.

Bell previously found himself in serious trouble after he was charged with “two counts of attempted child endangerment and dissemination of material harmful to minors,” per Page Six.
The incident that led to the charges occurred in 2017, and the actor pleaded guilty in 2021.
The investigation revealed that Bell and the female complainant had ‘developed a relationship’ online before the singer’s concert in Cleveland and that Bell had exchanged several “inappropriate social media messages” with her, per Daily Mail.
Although the complainant also alleged that Bell had “sexually abused” her, that allegation was not part of her charges and did not play a role in her sentence at the time. Bell and his legal team also denied the allegations.
‘I’m Not Charged With Anything Physical’

A few months after the sentence, the singer made a video in which he vehemently denied the allegations of sexual assault made by the complainant, although he admitted that he had exchanged messages with her.
He said, per Daily Mail, “I’m not the one telling you that the allegations are false, but the state of Ohio has proven the allegations to be false. If these claims were even remotely true, my situation would be very different.
He added, “I’m not accused of anything physical. I’m not accused of spreading the image or anything like that. It’s just through text messages.”
The singer also said his actions were “reckless,” which forced him to take a plea deal to end the issue.
He ended the video by urging his fans to do their own research before jumping to conclusions about what the media has written about him.
