Taking to his Instagram story, the father-of-one posted two pictures of the couple being warm and cozy with each other.
In the first photo, Drake was caught planting a kiss on Sexyy Redd’s cheek as they hung out at a club. Sitting close next to each other on a cream sofa, Drake held one of his hands to take the picture.
Meanwhile, the St.Louis native put her hands around his neck, clearly enjoying the show of affection as she pouted. For the late night event, she donned a white crop leather jacket and matching ripped jeans. Rocking her bright red hair, she accessorised her look with a matching diamond encrusted necklace. He also wears a pair of glasses.
Drake, on the other hand, looked stylish, dressed in a loose black sweatshirt and matching leather pants. She decorated her face, wearing diamond earrings. Captioning the post, he wrote, “Just met my legal wife,” and further tagged Sexyy Red in it.
The second update is a blurry photo of the two on the big screen, performing on stage to an excited crowd. Once again, the “Jimmy Cooks” singer kissed the red-haired rapper on the cheek.

Aside from the Canadian-born rapper’s crush, here’s more to know about Sexyy Red, who is in the spotlight this year. Her original birth name is Janae Wherry, and she was born on April 15, 1998, spending most of her childhood growing up in St.Louis, Missouri.
Giving an interview with “Komplex,” he described himself as “a product of my environment.” The description is made referring to his character and musical taste. In his words, “I love St. Louis rappers. Everybody from St. Louis listens to St. Louis people.”
As for rappers who have influenced his music career, he cites the likes of Gucci Mane, Project Pat, and Juicy J. Interestingly, his songs are most notable for his confidence and straight-forward manner of speaking.
The inspiration for her first song is not as memorable as most artists, as the song she recorded, “Ah Thousand Jugs,” was a song about her boyfriend cheating on her. To his surprise, he liked the song and pushed him to record it properly in 2018. Moving forward to become an amazing rapper in 2023, he released his hit song “Pound Town.”
Gaining traction on several social media platforms, the song’s unflinching lyrics caught the attention of Nicki Minaj, who agreed to hop on the track, remixing it in May 2023.
Due to Minaj’s influence and talent, “Pound Town” became Sexyy Red’s first Billboard Hot 100 entry, peaking at number 66. Revealing where she got her stage name from, she attributed it to rocking her bold red hairstyle since high school, earning her the nickname “Red .”
Struggling with what name to use after uploading her first song, she tried different prefixes before Red, and finally, her cameraman suggested, “How about Sexyy Red because you’re sexy and your name is Red.” Fortunately for the rapper, that moment began the Sexyy Red era and his rise to fame.

The St.Louis native also mentioned that she is a mother and talked about her career aspirations in the interview. She stated, “I want to get on TV. I want to have a makeup line. I want to sell clothes, hair. I want some stores.” He added, “And get my son out of the hood, so he doesn’t have to grow up in the kind of environment I did.”
Although Drake has openly expressed his love for the “Skee Yee” rapper, even calling her his “legal wife”, there is no hard evidence to suggest that the two are in a relationship. Additionally, fans have theorized that the pair are most likely teasing an upcoming collaboration.
