Actor Justin Long and his fiancée Kate Bosworth have become the “ultimate couple,” at least according to Long’s ex, Drew Barrymore.
In a clip from Thursday’s episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Drew teased that he and Kate have “the same important person,” referring to the 44-year-old actress. Drew and Justin dated on-and-off from 2007 to 2010.

In short Twitter clip teasing Thursday’s episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Drew displayed a photo of Justin and Kate together on the big screen. “My very dear old friend Justin Long – boyfriend, dear friend – and he and Kate have found each other in this world,” Drew said.
“[You’ve] to be very happy, bound, the real deal; you’re holding hands, the ultimate couple you’re meant to be,” Drew told the “Blue Crush” cast. “Period.”
“That’s so sweet,” replied Kate, before saying, “He loves you so much. He just loves you so deeply.”

Justin Long previously appeared on “The Drew Barrymore Show” for the season premiere last September 3. At the time, Kate said that she told Justin, “You have to do it.” The two weren’t engaged at the time, but Kate said she was “thrilled” for Justin to get the chance to appear on her ex’s show.
“I was with him when he got the question and he was like, ‘Oh, Drew wants me to go on his show,’ and I was like, ‘You have to do it!’ I’m so excited,” Kate told Drew.

“I’m so excited, because I know there’s so much love between you two,” he explained. “Very, very fun and wild— I always say you’re all in the whirlwind together, aren’t you? It’s like a time in your life when you’re like, ‘I want to feel and I want to do everything,’ just like being part of the adventure in a wild way, which is really fun. He just loves you so much.”
During the appearance, the two admitted that they’ve created some “fun chaos” together, though they described their rollercoaster relationship as “more hedonistic” and “more immature” than what they were ultimately looking for in a partner.

Rumors that the couple were engaged began to swirl after Kate was seen wearing a ring that finger during the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party, which the couple attended together. In April, Justin confirmed that they were getting ready to tie the knot on the April episode of his Life is Short podcast.
Although the “Accepted” actress revealed that she had something big planned for the proposal, she explained that she asked him to marry her in a more “organic” way.

“I do have a special plan [Kate’s] birthday and about a month before that, life, as we talked about, things change, and sometimes they change drastically without any warning,” Justin said while talking to Kate on an episode of his podcast.
“It was a moment where it felt very organic and it felt connected to something very, very deep, very personal that we were going through, like, a change in real life, and it came out in a very organic way,” he added.

“[The therapist] gave us really good advice which was: ‘Make sure you’re consistently asking the other person what you need, or asking the other person what they need,'” Kate explained, saying she then asked Justin what he needed when the second -both in private.
“And he, like, really looked at me and he said, ‘To spend my life with you,’ and I smiled and I said, ‘Well, yeah, you’ve got that. Oh my, you’ve got that,’ and he said, ‘No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you,'” she recalled, with the couple noting that the “organic” proposal just “fell out.”
Kate finalized her divorce from director Michael Polish in March, just a month before she and Justin confirmed their engagement. The two were married from 2013 to 2021.
