Chad Michael Busto is officially wanted after missing a trial on stalking charges. A Southampton Magistrates’ Court judge issued a bench warrant for Busto’s arrest after he missed the installation for his GPS monitor. A court clerk disclosed the development of the stalking case to TMZ on Tuesday.

Busto’s most recent hearing on the charge was Aug. 25, when Judge Barbara Wilson acquitted him. At the time, he was charged with fourth-degree stalking Barrymore. Judge Wilson released Busto on the condition that he stay away from the actress and wear a GPS tracker.

Busto’s stalking charge is not a bailable offense. Barrymore’s next court appearance on the trespassing and trespassing charge is on September 12. This isn’t the first time Busto has gotten in trouble for stalking and it’s not the first time he’s tried to access Barrymore.

On August 23, Busto was arrested around Barrymore’s Hamptons home after he was reported lurking around the neighborhood. He allegedly approached several people, looking for the “50 First Dates” actor’s $6 million ranch house. Thankfully, sources revealed that Barrymore wasn’t home while Busto was at the property.

Just two days before he was arrested at his property in the Hamptons, Busto found Barrymore in New York. The “Never Been Kissed” actor was conducting an interview with co-star Renee Rapp when he barged into the space. According to New York Postas Busto approached the stage, he yelled at Barrymore, demanding to see her “at some point.”

He said, “You know who I am! I need to see you sometime while you’re in New York!” Busto was immediately stopped from approaching by a guard on the side of the stage. The clip of the moment has gone viral on social media, especially on Twitter and TikTok.

After the incident, Busto spoke with Daily Mail about why he wanted to talk to Barrymore. He claimed he had met the actress a few years ago and hoped to develop a romantic relationship with her.

After the incident, police sources revealed to Daily Mail that Busto has a “long criminal record.”

It reportedly extends back to 1999 and has charges as early as January 2022. Busto’s criminal history includes harassment, indecent exposure, criminal trespass, theft and disorderly conduct.

During an August hearing with Judge Wilson, Busto claimed that he had another hearing in a Texas court on September 3. However, he failed to disclose the nature of his charges there. Busto also claimed to the court that he is bankrupt and plans to move into a shelter.

A source close to Barrymore told Daily Mail that he was not bothered by the incident with Busto. They said, “Drew feels good, feels safe, and even now, it’s happening so fast he’s OK and not stressed about it. He has moved on from the incident because he knows that people are there to protect him.”

The source explained that Barrymore didn’t want to make the incident the focus of the night, so she quickly “forgot about it.” The “Blended” actress thinks it’s more important to “return to the conversation” she had with Rapp before Gusto walked in and asked to see her.

The source added, “He’s not going to change the way he lives his life and protects himself, all those things and has been set for him his whole life, and he doesn’t want anyone to worry about his well-being.”
