All About ‘Levitating’ Singer Romain Gavras’ New Boyfriend
For those who don’t know about the “New Rules” singer’s new man, Gavras, 42, is French and interested in filmmaking, according to reports. While talking to a news channel, the director detailed his passion for his career.
He said, “From a very young age, I knew this was what I wanted to do. “I like to make feature films, short films, music videos, and sometimes commercials.” He added, “I come from a generation that was raised by television, so I don’t necessarily think that film is a noble art and you can’t do anything else. I think it’s good to do a little bit.”
Unsurprisingly, the burgeoning filmmaker comes from a family of creators. While Romain’s mother, Michèle Ray-Gavras, is a journalist and producer, his father, Costa Gavras, is an Oscar-winning director. Continuing the family’s creative pattern, Romain’s younger sister, Julie, has also achieved success in the entertainment industry as a director.
Also, his brother Alexandre Gavras is a film producer. Romain once spoke about growing up in a creative family in an interview, “When your whole family goes to the cinema, you talk about it at the dinner table, and then you go to the movies and talk about them. I went to the cinema as long as I can remember. I grew up in the film family, so there was no other option but to make films.”

Romain was previously linked to singer Rita Ora from late 2020 to early 2021. Although they didn’t attend official red carpets, the two vacationed together throughout their six-month relationship.
