Dua Lipa Shut Down Big Budget Music Video With ‘Explosions’ Due To Israel-Hamas War

Dua Lipa’s upcoming third studio album received unexpected backlash due to an “insensitive” music video.

The sensational singer has been actively teasing her upcoming project, but the music video for one of her new songs features a chaotic theme. Fortunately, the project was withdrawn following a series of emergency meetings that deemed its violent content offensive amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

Lipa secretly shot a music video for a song on her much-anticipated album, an expensive project that featured various violent themes. According to reports, the discarded clip reportedly contained explosions, people fighting and chaos.

Additionally, the music video features hundreds of extras and will be released alongside the hitmaker’s studio album “One Kiss” in 2024. Despite the chaotic theme, insiders claim Lipa’s team was not inspired by the Israel-Hamas war. In their words:

“A video was shot for Dua Lipa’s upcoming campaign last September. Basically, the video is playful but contains themes of chaos — including car crashes, demolitions, explosions, fireworks and people fighting.”

Although the video was recorded before the Gaza conflict began, it was eventually removed due to the ongoing dispute. The source, according to The Sun, said the decision was made after a series of emergency meetings held among the singer’s team, saying:

“Dua and his team decided that it was insensitive for the video to be released given what had happened on and since October 7.”

On the highlighted date, the terrorist group Hamas launched an attack on Israel that reportedly killed about 1,200 people. This attack resulted in a heartbreaking conflict in Gaza, a situation Lipa addressed with a statement on her Instagram page.

“Every day that passes, my heart aches for the people of Israel and Palestine. Grief for the lives lost in the horrific attack in Israel,” he lamented. “Sadness as I witness the unprecedented suffering in Gaza, where 2.2 million souls, half of them children, endure unimaginable hardship.”

“For now, I really hope for a ceasefire in Gaza and urge the government to stop the ongoing crisis. Our hope lies in finding empathy to recognize this dire humanitarian situation. Sending love to the Palestinian and Jewish communities around the world, who bear this burden more than most,” Lipa concluded her heartfelt post.
