Dwayne Johnson ‘Very Sick’ On Father’s Day
Father’s Day is a day celebrated in many countries around the world, dedicated to honoring fathers and father figures. For Johnson, though, it’s a bittersweet reminder of the issues he can’t resolve with his father.
Johnson’s father, Rocky Johnson, was also a professional wrestler and made a name for himself in the industry. Although they share a passion for wrestling, their relationship is complicated, to say the least.
The “Fast Five” actor has been open about the struggles he faced growing up, often describing his father as difficult and demanding who was absent for significant periods due to his wrestling career.
Johnson shared his feelings about Father’s Day in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday. He advises men who still have their father to consider it a blessing; however, the actress insisted that her experience was different because she never had the chance to reconcile with her father before he died.
Johnson sympathized with “all the fathers out there like me, who today, we no longer have the privilege of wishing our own fathers a happy Father’s Day” because of the “tough love and complicated relationship with our fathers.”

Johnson’s personal experience with his father gives him a unique perspective on the importance of dealing with and resolving complicated relationships.
In his Father’s Day Instagram post, he offered advice to those who might find themselves in a similar situation, urging them to “try and make it up, try and get it back together.”
“Do your best to make peace because the alternative is something that could happen, and suddenly you’re writing a eulogy for your father’s funeral, as I found myself,” said the “Jumanji” actor.
“I woke up one day, and he was gone, and I had to write the eulogy and deliver it. I don’t want that for you.” He added, “If you have the opportunity, if your old man is there and you have the effort to reconcile him.”
Dwayne Johnson Bonds With His Daughter
Despite the pain and complexity surrounding Father’s Day for the “Black Adam” actor, he also took the opportunity to share a heartfelt insight into his role as a father.
To focus on the positive aspects of the day, Johnson shared a touching moment of bonding with his daughter, showcasing the love and joy he experiences in his role as a father.
He posted a video of himself with his youngest son capturing a father-daughter bonding moment. The footage depicts him playing the role of a patient while his daughter, Tiana, plays the role of the doctor. He can be seen inserting a toy rectal thermometer into Johnson’s mouth to check his temperature as he tries to understand what he’s doing.
“I know one day, a few years from now, playing dates with Dad won’t be fun anymore so I’m going to take every minute I can,” she captioned the post, adding, “rectal thermometer and stuff.”
