Actor Dwayne Johnson has finally reconciled with Vin Diesel, which is good news for fans of the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
After warning fans to wear their “fundamentals,” the former wrestler known as The Rock took to social media to reveal that a new movie starring his character, Luke Hobbs, is in the works as the “Fast & Furious” franchise continues grow by day.

On Thursday, June 1, the “Moana” actor took to social media to reveal that he will be returning as Luke Hobbs. “Hope you have your fund clothes… HOBBS IS BACK. And he just got lei’d,” he wrote on Twitter. “Luke Hobbs is returning to the Fast & Furious franchise.”
“Your worldwide reaction to the return of Hobbs in Fast X has blown us away. The next Fast & Furious movie you’ll see the legendary lawman is the HOBBS movie that will serve as a new, fresh & prepared chapter for FASTX: Part II,” he explained.

“Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We will lead with brotherhood and determination – and always take care of the franchises, characters & FANS we love,” he revealed. “I’ve built my career on an ‘Audience First’ mentality and that will always be my North Star.”

While there always seemed to be bad blood between the two on set, things turned sour when The Rock attacked Vin Diesel in a now-deleted post. “My female co-stars are always great and I love them. My male cast however is a different story. Some behave as upstanding men and true professionals, while others do not,” he wrote at the time. “Which isn’t too chicken to do anything about it.”
In a Vanity Fair exhibit from October 2021, the “Red Notice” actress admitted that her comments caused a “firestorm” that forced a meeting between the two in Johnson’s trailer.
“I wouldn’t call it a peaceful meeting,” he said. “I would call it a meeting of clarity. He and I had a good chat in my trailer, and from that chat, it really became clear that we were two separate ends of the spectrum. And agreed to leave it at that.”
However, in November 2021, Vin Diesel created an Instagram post to invite his “little brother” back to the franchise. “My little brother Dwayne… the time has come,” he wrote. “The world awaits the climax of the Fast 10.”

Instead of taking to Instagram, the “Black Adam” actor took part in an interview with CNN, where he insisted that he would not return to the franchise.
“I already told you [Diesel] directly that I will not return to the franchise,” he said. “I was firm but friendly with my words and said that I will always support the cast and always support the franchise to succeed, but there is no chance for me to come back.”

“Vin’s recent public posts are an example of his manipulation,” he continued. “I don’t like her raising her children in that position, as well as the death of Paul Walker. Leave them out of it. We have been talking for the past few months about this and have a clear understanding.”
“My goal all along has been to end my amazing journey with this incredible franchise with gratitude and grace,” added Johnson. “It is unfortunate that this public dialogue has muddied the waters. Regardless, I am confident in the ‘Fast’ universe and its ability to consistently deliver for audiences… I truly wish my former co-stars and crew the best and success in the next chapter.”
Fortunately, it seems the two were able to reconcile, resulting in Dwayne Johnson returning not only to “Fast X” but another film in the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
